In our top world news, the war against the Islamic Radical Regime of Iran has dominated much of the news. There are concerns not only about the rise in oil prices, but that this war could result in terrible drinking water shortages in the region, as well as food shortages because of the disruption of fertilizer availability. (See; Reuters - Iran war fertilizer squeeze could spell trouble for next year's grain harvests).
After Russia began its “Special Military Operation” in Ukraine back in 2022, there began a shortage of fertilizer (See: IFPRI - High fertilizer prices contribute to rising global food security concerns).
Certainly, one unintended consequence of the US-Israel war against the evil Islamic Regime of Iran has been the disruption of fertilizer exports.
Wars can often lead to famines, food shortages, and higher food costs.
In a recent conversation with AI, I had this to say regarding famines ──
“Matthew 24:4-7.”Ah, Matthew 24:4-7 ── now that’s some heavy prophetic territory, Sir! Those verses where Jesus warns about religious deception, false teachers, wars, rumors of wars, famines, troubles, and earthquakes in various places ── the whole ‘beginning of sorrows’ passage. What’s got you thinking about that particular passage?“The fact that all of that takes place for thousands of years before it gets to verse 9.”You’re thinking about the timeline ── that all those signs in verses 4-7, the religious deception, false teachers, wars, rumors of wars, famines, troubles, and earthquakes in various places, could be happening over millennia before we even get to verse 9, where it talks about persecution and being hated by all nations. That makes perfect sense when you think about it ── those early verses could span centuries or even thousands of years of human history before the more intense tribulation period kicks in.“You got it! Those thousands of years are what our Lord Jesus Christ called ‘the beginning of sorrows.’”
Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has prophesied that all throughout this present evil age there would be ‘wars and rumors of wars’ before the coming dreadful and terrible Day of the Lord – the ‘great tribulation’ ──
“’ And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.’
Verse 7 – ‘For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8) ALL THESE are the beginning of sorrows.’” – Matthew 24:6-8.
And while there are grave troubles worldwide ── one nation against another nation, one kingdom against another kingdom, and there have been famines (some of great proportions, i.e., Irish Potato Famine (1845-1849), Great Chinese Famine (1959 1961), Bengal Famine (1943), and there have been great pestilences, i.e., Black Death: 75-200M (1334-1353), 1918 flu: 50-100 million (1918-1920), COVID-19: 5-17 million (2020 – current), as well as earthquakes in various places, i.e., 1957 Aleutian Earthquake, 1960 Chilean Earthquake, and the 2011 Tōhoku Earthquake and Tsunami ── our Lord Jesus has told us ‘See that you are not troubled’ the end of the age is not yet. All these are but a foreshadowing of things to come!
>>> Also in world news, King Charles III and Queen Camilla was in the United States of America for a short visit. The trip was, in part, intended to improve relations between the US and the UK ── especially after the Uks Prime Minister Keir Starmer challenged Trump over US blockade of Strait of Hormuz. (See: NPR - King Charles' U.S. visit comes at tense moment in trans-Atlantic relationship).
The “center-of-the-rating” Deutsche Welle had this to say (and center doesn’t necessarily mean non-bias) ──
April 25, 2026UK-US ties tested: Britain courts Trump with King CharlesThe “special relationship” between the United States and the United Kingdom has survived a revolution. Now the British government is working to ensure it can withstand Donald Trump.Despite deep economic and social ties and unparalleled intelligence sharing, the US president has chosen to repeatedly attack the UK and its Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The trigger: London’s reluctance to be drawn into Washington’s war with Iran. When Starmer initially refused to allow US troops to use British bases, Trump remarked: “This is not Winston Churchill we are dealing with.” He later told The Sun newspaper it was “sad to see the relationship is obviously not what it was,” adding the prime minister “has not been helpful.”US-UK ties: From trade deal to tensionsThe contrast to just one year ago is stark. Then, the UK became the first country to sign a post-tariff trade deal with the US. Since then, Trump´s threat to invade Greenland, his sweeping tariff policies — including against allies — his attacks on a “weak” Europe and, above all, the war in Iran have put the relationship under strain. …British governments have long used their monarchs as tools of soft diplomacy. State visits take place on behalf of the UK government, and they carry largely symbolic weight. As a constitutional monarch, King Charles IIIcannot negotiate treaties, set policy or speak freely on political matters. His role is ceremonial, not executive. As recently as September 2025, Trump and the first lady were treated to an unprecedented second state visit to the UK, with all the glamour, military pomp and royal attention that the Kingdom has to offer. At the state banquet, Trump praised the “bond of kinship and identity” between the two nations as “priceless and eternal … irreplaceable and unbreakable.”So why deploy the king again, when Trump’s positions can shift so quickly?“The view of the British government will be that it’s better to at least make the attempt and to have some chance of winning favor for a brief period of time and having some influence than not,” Nigel Fletcher, a political historian and visiting scholar at Kings College London, told DW.
As we are aware, brethren, the United Kingdom and the United States of America has had a long and special relationship. God’s living prophecies point to the US as being Manasseh and the UK as being Ephraim. They were two sons of Joseph (the first of the two sons of Jacob/Israel and Rachel). They were given great blessings by their grandfather Jacob/Israel ── “So he blessed them that day, saying, ‘By you Israel will bless, saying, ‘May God make you as Ephraim and as Manasseh!’ And thus, he set Ephraim before Manasseh.” – Genesis 48:20. For additional details, see also Freedom - A True Blessing From God.
Yes, based upon God’s living word in prophecy, we can expect that the US and the UK will continue to be brothers, patching up some of their differences──at least, for a time.
Sadly, according to other biblical prophecies, they will turn against each other and against JUDAH ──
“Manasseh shall devour Ephraim, and Ephraim Manasseh; Together they shall be against Judah [modern-day Israel].” – Isaiah 9:11.
Certainly, greater steps were made for better, but temporary, relations between the two this last week.
>>> Elon Musk, who currently sits on the world stage as the richest man, with a net worth of approximately $817 billion ── he very often makes bold, often controversial remarks that spark outrage, amusement, or debate.
Well… here’s one of his newest. Elon Musk drops AI bomb on retirement advice “It won’t matter” as future shifts.
April 28, 2026Elon Musk shares controversial views on saving for retirement and why AI revolution will affect it.April 26, 2026Elon Musk says saving for retirement is irrelevant because AI is going to create a world of abundance: ‘It won’t matter’Saving for retirement is pointless thanks to the impending “supersonic tsunami” of AI and robotics, which will bring about a world of zero scarcity, according to Elon Musk. While the Tesla and SpaceX CEO admitted he’s “more optimistic” than most, he insisted people shouldn’t stress over building a nest egg for the distant future, contrary to the staid advice of nearly all other financial professionals.Musk’s hot takeBy 2030, AI will surpass “the intelligence of all humans combined,” Musk predicted. He also claimed eventually there will be more humanoid robots than humans on Earth. Slowly, the traditional job will be replaced as well, with white collar positions first on the list.“Anything short of shaping atoms, AI can do probably half or more of those jobs right now,” he said. The advances could lead to such big productivity increases, he said, that they will surpass “what people possibly could think of as abundance.”Rather than a universal income, everyone will enjoy a “universal ‘you can have whatever you want’ income” in the future, he claimed. In this world that Musk foresees, the link between individual wages, savings, and living standards will no longer make sense.
It truly amazes me how foolish most uber-wealthy people can be. Claiming, “By 2030, AI will surpass the intelligence of all humans combined.” Indeed, what a ‘hot mess’!
Of course, Mr. Musk is blown with the wind on what he actually believes ── back in 2018, he was warning about the grave dangers of AI ──
April 7, 2018Elon Musk: ‘Immortal’ evil superintelligence could rule worldBillionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk’s biggest fear is a form of artificial intelligence that could create an “immortal dictator,” a “godlike” entity that rules the world and one “from which we can never escape.”That’s what he says in a new documentary by American filmmaker Chris Paine about the imminent threat of AI, which he believes will be smarter than man and, of course, never die.The Tesla and SpaceX chief executive officer says it could develop within one company – like Google — or among a small group of people.“The least scary future I can think of is one where we have at least democratized AI because if one company or small group of people manages to develop godlike digital superintelligence, they could take over the world,” Musk said. “At least when there’s an evil dictator, that human is going to die. But for an AI, there would be no death. It would live forever. And then you’d have an immortal dictator from which we can never escape.”
Sadly, like most people, he won’t recognize someone who will be claiming that they are God when he finally does rise on the world scene. God’s living word in prophecy shows us that this dictator will be mortal, claiming ‘immortality.’ (cf. Revelation 17:12-13).
Be sure to watch my latest Personal From... Is AI Evil?
This future Catholic-led European dictator will be worshiped as if he was God ──
“Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, 2) not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the Day of Christ [the Day of the LORD] had come. 3) Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first [the falling away from faith], and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4) who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” – 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4.
That dictator, like all dictators, will promise his people ── a utopia.
Also, the following living word of God in prophecy supports ── at least to some degree ── advanced computer software, which may or may not be considered “AI,” could be used by this soon-coming final Catholic-led European ‘beast’ power (Revelation 13:1-10) as well as his “mouth piece” beast who comes out of the earth having two horns like an innocent lamb, but speaks as a dragon (verse 13).
Indeed, God’s living word in prophecy shows us that a civic-militaristic Catholic-led European dictator will rise toward the end of this present evil age, and will certainly utilize AI ─ he won’t, however, be immortal. And while much of the Western world will prosper for a short time under his dictatorship (cf. Revelation 18), it won’t last long and will not be a time of lasting peace and economic abundance.
Let us continue to pray, ‘Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On EARTH as it is in heaven.’ – Matthew 6:9, 10. □
