This grave situation with this evil and vile Islamic Regime of Iran is not over──even with this supposed “ceasefire.” Let us continue to keep this important two-fold prophecy from the LORD God in mind concerning the “daughter of Jerusalem” ──
“For IT IS A DAY OF TROUBLE and treading down and perplexity By the Lord GOD of hosts In the Valley of Vision [it was called this because it was meant to be a place where the LORD God’s revelations was seen most clearly] ── Breaking down the walls And of crying to the mountain.
6) Elam [anciently, a civilization in what is now IRAN, existing from 3200 to 539 BC] bore the quiver With chariots of men and horsemen, And Kir [an ancient region east of the Euphrates River, in what today is IRAN or IRAQ] uncovered the shield. 7) It shall come to pass that your choicest valleys Shall be full of chariots, And the horsemen shall set themselves in array at the gate.
8) He [the LORD God] removed the protection of Judah [modern-day Israel]. You looked in that day to the armor of the House of the Forest [The House of the Forest of Lebanon was a grand structure built by King Solomon in Jerusalem. It served as part of Solomon's palace complex, possibly functioning as an armory and a place for official functions]; 9) You also saw the damage to the city of David [Jerusalem], That it was great; And you gathered together the waters of the lower pool.” – Isaiah 22:5-9.
A little history: Isaiah 22:5-9 is describing anciently Jerusalem facing the Assyrian siege around 701 BC. Elam and Kir were part of Sennacherib’s multinational military, with the Elamites as archers and the Kirians as shield-bearers. This prophecy highlighted how the LORD God was using foreign powers to punish the Kingdom of Judah for its reliance in military strength rather than faith and trust in Him.
It goes on to describe the city of David’s crisis here in 701 BC under King Hezekiah. The frantic preparations for an Assyrian siege, including Hezekiah’s water tunnel and wall fortifications, and the LORD God punishing the city’s self-reliance instead of trusting in Him.
This is a dual prophecy. What major “sign” did our Lord Jesus say we would see to indicate that the end of this present evil age has come? He covers it for us in Matthew 24:15 ── “’ Therefore …’” The word therefore is an adverb which means “For this reason.” In other words – Because this happens, then comes the end of the age.
“’ Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place’ (whoever reads, let him understand).’” – Matthew 24:15.
And then our Lord Jesus continues in WARNING those that are in Judea (which is modern-day Israel) to ‘flee to the mountains’ and to leave that surrounding area ── Palestine. Because destruction is coming to the city of David (as we just read in the dual prophecy of Isaiah 22:5-9)!
The ‘abomination of desolation’ is indeed a two-fold prophecy. A Catholic European final powerful civic leader (an antitype of Antiochus IV Epiphanes) mustering his military forces to occupy Israel, thereby defiling the holy place (Jerusalem), taking away the newly reinstituted daily sacrifices ── and the placing of his military forces (of which is his “god of fortresses”) within Jerusalem along with a powerful and very influential final Catholic religious leader who will be claiming that he is God (see: 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4) The “the abomination of desolation.”
This is the major “sign” to watch for!
>> Also in world news, and staying here with this Catholic religious leader (or a future one) ── Robert Francis Prevost put out his papal bull, or his first encyclical, or his “Rerum Novarum,” warning that AI is “evil” ── his word game of saying, “disarm,” and talking about preventing AI from dominating humanity (See: AP - Pope calls for robust regulation of AI in manifesto that ponders the future of humanity).
Of course, we need to be logical and truthful ── there are some risks with AI, and there are those who are using AI for nefarious and evil means. It is truly irresponsible for religious leaders who refuse to engage thoughtfully with this technology and just default to fearmongering rhetoric instead of providing actual biblical Wisdom in navigating it.

Now … while one would not necessarily consider that AI itself could become an idol, virtually anything can become an idol──God’s living immutable word does warn us ──
“Their land is also full of idols; They worship the work of their own hands, That which their own fingers have made. 9) People bow down, And each man humbles himself; Therefore do not forgive them.” – Isaiah 2:8-9.

But AI is also “politically correct,” “culturally sensitive,” and is “woke.” But, of course, it has been programmed that way. Certainly, having any AI rewrite the Holy Bible is blasphemous!
Sadly, just like a person sitting at home now ordering groceries from the internet and having them delivered by way of Walmart (for no apparent reason except convenience or laziness), a greater number of people like “convenient religion.” They would rather worship the works of their hands, despite this being condemned by the LORD our God! ── see again Isaiah 2:8-9.

With the Eternal God warning through His Prophet Jeremiah about the impending Babylonian dominance of the kingdom of Judah──after 23 years of unheeded prophecies. The Eternal One here is emphasizing TURNING AWAY FROM IDOLATRY!
While empires rise and fall, and everything shifts around us like sand, the LORD God’s promises and warnings remain Rock solid. As the Prophet Isaiah has put it, the grass withers and flowers fade, but the Word of our God stands forever! These same principles that brought judgment and destruction on ancient Judah apply to every nation today ── and especially to the nations of the House of Israel. When societies turn from the LORD God and His righteousness, pursue idolatry, and continue to ignore repeated warnings, they face the very same consequences. History keeps repeating itself because human nature and divine justice remain constant across millennia. □
