Will There Always Be an England?

Most Americans are Anglophiles. It’s in our blood. Yes, our ancestors fought a bloody revolution to free ourselves from the British crown, but outside of the United Kingdom itself, you will find no people more eager to swoon over British royalty than Americans. More substantively, our love and admiration for the British has to do with a heady mix of Churchill, Wilberforce, Tolkien, Lennon and McCartney, and other extraordinary examples of courage, wisdom, and creativity. 

For an American, it’s not only shocking but also painful to see what is happening to Britain today. The country of the Magna Carta, the nation that gave the world liberal democracy, and a people who stood indomitably against the Nazi totalitarian menace, succumbed to utter demoralization and soft (for now) totalitarianism imposed on them by a corrupt ruling class. How far away seem the lyrics to the popular 1939 patriotic song “There’ll Always Be An England,” which lifted spirits through the Blitz:

There’ll always be an England, 

And England shall be free 

If England means as much to you 

As England means to me.

It has become possible now to doubt that sentimental claim—precisely because England has ceased to mean much to its ruling class, and to many Englishmen. A friend who is a respected member of the British establishment wrote to me last week in despair. 

“No sign it’s going to get any better, or that there is any way the country can come back from this,” he said. “We’ve faced wars, recessions, and pandemics for centuries, but this is different. You can’t reverse the slow dissolution of an entire culture and people, which is what is happening to the English.”

What prompted those black-pilled lines was my telling him of a dinner conversation I had had the night before in Budapest. I dined with a middle-class English couple in the Hungarian capital to take possession of a flat they had just bought as a kind of bolt hole, to escape their native land if it becomes necessary. One of them had been born in the UK to parents who escaped the 1956 Soviet occupation of Hungary. They had gone west seeking ordered liberty; now their son and his family were contemplating reversing the course for the same reason. 

The wife told me that she is friends with a white British couple who lost their daughter for a couple of years to a Pakistani grooming gang. The mum and dad went to the police, begging for help. As with so many white British people in similar circumstances, they received none. Celebrate diversity! … 

Will the British find it within themselves to resist and reverse colonial subjugation by their own ruling class? Or is my despairing English correspondent right, and the “dissolution of an entire culture and people” too far along to stop? 

If you wanted to dissolve a nation—that is, a distinct people—it would be hard to beat the formula the British ruling class, both Labour and Tory, have implemented. Among them: 

• Deny in culture and policy that there is much of anything worth celebrating about the historic peoples of the United Kingdom, and handing down (tradere) to the next generations …
• Open the borders to mass migration, supported by propaganda that attempts to convince the native population that this process is both historically irresistible and morally correct …
• Practice a governing approach called “anarcho-tyranny,” in which the authorities use their power to punish the innocent and the law-abiding, while allowing criminals and anti-social elements to roam free

Kind of reminds us of what was occurring in the United States of America ── before President Donald Trump!

Indeed, we wonder if there will always be an England. God’s living, indelible, and immutable word in prophecy tells us of her terrible downfall.  The LORD God’s words within these dual prophecies state unequivocally ── 

“’ I will scatter you among the nations and draw out a sword after you; your land shall be desolate and your cities waste.’” – Leviticus 26:33.

Electromagnetic pulse weapons (EMPs), or other high-tech weapons, including even nuclear, are certainly ways to make the land desolate and our cities laid waste.

“’ The whole land is brimstone, salt, and burning; it is not sown, nor does it bear, nor does any grass grow there, like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, which the LORD overthrew in His anger and His wrath.’ 24) All nations would say, ‘Why has the LORD done so to this land? What does the heat of this great anger mean?’” – Deuteronomy 29:23-29. 

Certainly, the “whole land is brimstone, salt, and burning” could be consistent with a nuclear-type attack or an asteroid striking the land! 

Let us also consider the following from the prophets Ezekiel and Isaiah ── 

“ … ‘O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD! Thus says the Lord GOD to the mountains [the nations], to the hills, to the ravines, and to the valleys: ‘Indeed I, even I, will bring a sword against you, and I will destroy your high places. 4) Then your altars shall be desolate, your incense altars shall be broken, and I will cast down your slain men before your idols. … 6) In all your dwelling places the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be desolate, so that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, your idols may be broken and made to cease, …’” – Ezekiel 6:3-7. 

“Through the wrath of the LORD of hosts The land is burned up, And the people shall be as fuel for the fire; No man shall spare his brother. 20) And he shall snatch on the right hand And be hungry; He shall devour on the left hand And not be satisfied; Every man shall eat the flesh of his own arm. 21) Manasseh shall devour Ephraim, and Ephraim Manasseh; Together they shall be against Judah.” – Isaiah 9:19-21.

Sadly, no, there will NOT “always be an England.” Nor, for that matter, a United States of America ── certainly not an America like the one that was originally founded.

Consider this about the once great British Empire ──

The Biggest Empires in Human History 

In 1913, 412 million people lived under the control of the British Empire, 23 percent of the world's population at that time. It remains the largest empire in human history,  and at the peak of its power in 1920, it covered an astonishing 13.71 million square miles - that's close to a quarter of the world's land area. At its height, it was described as "the empire on which the sun never sets," but of course, the sun finally did set on it. Today, Britannia no longer rules the waves, and its remnants consist of 14 small dependent and unincorporated territories scattered across the world, such as the Falkland Islands and Gibraltar. 1

According to the left-wing biased Wikipedia, the United Kingdom now only covers 94,354 square miles. The UK includes the island of Great Britain, the north-eastern part of the island of Ireland, and most of the smaller islands within the British Isles.

Sadly, that is a drastic reduction in size by 99%! The UK will continue to lose even more territory as well as, and eventually being completely subjugated.

Despite our love and hope for Britain’s future, God’s living word in prophecy is consistent in her continuing to lose even more territory ── 

“’ DO NOT defile yourselves with any of these things; for by all these the nations are defiled, which I am casting out before you. 25) For the land is defiled; therefore I visit the punishment of its iniquity upon it, and the land vomits out its inhabitants. 

26) You shall therefore keep My statutes and My judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations, either any of your own nation or any stranger [foreigner; immigrant] who dwells among you 27) (FOR ALL THESE ABOMINATIONS THE MEN OF THE LAND HAVE DONE, who were before you, and thus the land is defiled), 28) lest the land vomit you out also when you defile it, as it vomited out the nations that were before you.’” – Leviticus 18:24-28.

“’ And IF by these things you are not reformed by Me, but walk contrary to Me, 24) then I also will walk contrary to you, and I will punish you seven times for your sins. 25) And I will bring a sword against you that will execute the vengeance of the covenant; when you are gathered together within your cities I will send pestilence among you; and you shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.’” – Leviticus 26:23-25; see also Deuteronomy 28:58-63. 

Her continuing territorial losses will include Northern Ireland as well as Gibraltar. England, Wales, and Scotland (including her naval presence in Cyprus and other areas). Yes, sadly, the great United Kingdom will be no more. 

God’s living word in prophecy ties great abominations and a lack of national repentance for the reason that the LORD God sends a mighty nation against Ephraim – Assyria (the final king of the North, a final resurrection of a United States of Europe) that will ultimately become Ephraim’s/England’s sovereign ruler ──  

“’ I taught Ephraim to walk, Taking them by their arms; But they did not know that I healed them. … 5) … But the Assyrian shall be his king, Because they refused to REPENT. 6) And the sword shall slash in his cities, Devour his districts, And consume them, Because of their own counsels. 

7) My people are bent on backsliding from Me, Though they call to the Most High, None at all exalt Him.’” – Hosea 11:3, 5-7. 

We are beginning to see in this 21st century the utter SHAME OF OUR NATIONAL SINS, of the United Kingdom and her Commonwealth Nations, of the United States of America, who instead of nationally repenting, instead embrace ever-greater abominations against the LORD God! Assyria (modern-day Germany) is prophesied to be the rod of God’s anger against unrepentant nations. (See: Isaiah 10:5-12). 

We are continuing to witness in this final 11:59 hour, world affairs that are aligning with properly understood biblical two-fold prophecies. □
