In the United States of America, in Minnesota, there have been many “professional” protests related to the tragic shooting of Renee Good, a 37-year-old Minneapolis woman who was fatally shot by a federal ICE agent, as she was using her vehicle to try to run him down.
I highly suggest for this week the sermonette, “’ This is a rebellious people!’”
Sadly, there was also another tragic shooting on the 15th of January (See: NPR – “DHS: ICE officers in Minneapolis shoot Venezuelan man in the leg”). There have been many “professional” protests throughout the United States, all related to the tragic killing of a woman that … DHS assistant secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement that the woman was a “violent rioter” who “weaponized her vehicle … in an attempt to kill the agents.”
The loss of Renee Good extremely saddens us, but there is an old idiom, “If you play with fire, you get burnt.”
Insurrection Act to ‘put an end’ to protests in MinneapolisJanuary 15, 2026MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — President Donald Trump on Thursday threatened to invoke the Insurrection Act allowing him to deploy troops as protests against Immigration and Customs Enforcement persist in Minneapolis.Trump made the threat after a federal officer shot a man in the leg in Minneapolis on Wednesday after being attacked with a shovel and broom handle. The incident further heightened the sense of fear and anger radiating across the city a week after an immigration agent fatally shot a woman in the head.Trump has repeatedly threatened to invoke the rarely used federal law to deploy the U.S. military or federalize the National Guard for domestic law enforcement, over the objections of state governors.“If the corrupt politicians of Minnesota don’t obey the law and stop the professional agitators and insurrectionists from attacking the Patriots of I.C.E., who are only trying to do their job, I will institute the INSURRECTION ACT, which many Presidents have done before me, and quickly put an end to the travesty that is taking place in that once great State,” Trump said in social media post.In Minneapolis, smoke filled the street Wednesday night near the site of the latest shooting as federal officers wearing gas masks and helmets fired tear gas into a small crowd while protesters threw rocks and shot fireworks. Police Chief Brian O’Hara said during a news conference that the gathering was an unlawful assembly and “people need to leave.”
It’s sad to say, but even more violence throughout the US should be expected.
God’s living word, the Holy Bible, says concerning these ‘latter days’ ──
“’ Make a chain, For the land is filled with crimes of blood, And the city is full of violence.’” – Ezekiel 7:23.
“ … they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a [reprobate] mind, to do those things WHICH ARE NOT [PROPER]; 29) being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are [gossipers], 30) backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31) undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; 32) who, KNOWING THE RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT OF GOD, that those who practice such things are deserving of [eternal] death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.” – Romans 1:28-32.
The “high-end tabloid,” the Daily Beast ── although these statistics I have found on many other news sources ── is reporting that a stunning new poll has revealed that the majority of Americans want to abolish ICE. Another 43 percent of respondents said they oppose getting rid of the agency, while another 12 percent said they were “not sure.” 1
It is unmistakable that there is a great divide in the United States of America. We will continue to witness a great many more “professional” protests against ICE and our beloved President Donald Trump.
Sadly, even here in Florida, ICE “professional” protests are being planned (and are occurring throughout the state) against “Operational Tidal Wave” and ICE, and the Trump/Vance Administration.
Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, has warned us ──
“ … ‘Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.’” – Matthew 12:25; see also Mark 3:24-25 and Luke 11:17.
One of the greatest of US presidents, Abraham Lincoln, echoed our Lord Jesus’ words in his “House Divided” speech in 1858 ──
“A house divided against itself, cannot stand. I believe this government cannot endure permanently half slave and half free.I do not expect the Union to be dissolved – I do not expect the house to fall – but I do expect it will cease to be divided.It will become all one thing or all the other. …” 2
The grave division of the United States of America can indeed be her downfall.
And it’s terrible to report that almost all of our mainstream media is on the side of the “professional” agitators.
Let us pay attention to a generational warning from two separate sources of God’s living word ──
“’ Give ear, O heavens, and I will speak; And hear, O earth, the words of my mouth. … 5) They have corrupted themselves; They are not His children, Because of their blemish: A perverse and crooked generation. 6) Do you thus deal with the LORD, O foolish and unwise people? Is He not your Father, who bought you? Has He not made you and established you?’” – Deuteronomy 32:1, 5-6.
“There is a generation that curses its father, And does not bless its mother. …” ── and we can certainly attribute this warning to Generation Z. Many Gen Zers Don’t Like America. Is It Surprising? A recent survey showed that 40 percent of Generation Z believes our Founding Fathers are more akin to villains than heroes. 3
12) There is a generation that is pure in its own eyes, Yet is not washed from its filthiness. …” ── a generation that thinks of themselves as morally and spiritually clean, despite their filthy lifestyle.
13) There is a generation──oh, how lofty are their eyes! And their eyelids are lifted up. 14) There is a generation whose teeth are like swords, And whose fangs are like knives, To devour the poor from off the earth, And the needy from among men.” – Proverbs 30:11-14.
We are certainly witnessing a modern generation that is like this.
And of course, it’s not just applicable to the current “professional” agitators. It applies to most of our people’s throughout the United States of America.
“’ Now go, write it before them in a tablet, and note it in a book, so that it may be for the time to come forever and ever, 9) That this is a rebellious people, lying children. They are children who will not hear the Law of the LORD; 10) Who say to the seers, [and may I suggest you read our article “’ Blow the Trumpet!’”], ‘See not,’ and to the prophets, ‘Do not prophesy to us right things, speak to us smooth things, prophesy illusions; 11) Go out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel [the living Jesus Christ] to cease from before us.’” – Isaiah 30:8-11, NET.
Our Lord Jesus has asked, “’ Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?’” – Luke 18:8. And, it’s not just faith regarding a belief in Jesus Christ, but it’s even more akin to the belief in a Creator. According to The Institute for Creation Research, there is a world trend that is increasing in unbelief in a Creator. Sadly, many people, including scientists, are failing to see God’s living truth despite a mountain of evidence. 4
Surely, the wickedness of our great nation, the United States of America, has come up before the LORD God! I cry unto the peoples of our nation to ‘REPENT, and believe in the gospel.’ Our people in the US desperately need national repentance──because without it, America will fall!
As was told to me by the very Spirit of God in our latest sermon, “NUCLEAR──GREATEST THREAT!” ── all those terrible things that were foretold by our Lord Jesus occurring, cf. Matthew 24:4-7, WERE THE BEGINNING OF SORROWS with more sorrows to come before ‘the end will come.’
Let us continue to pray earnestly, brethren, ‘Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done …’ – cf. Matthew 6:9, 10.
Also reporting in regards to the United States of America ── even more remarks by President Donald Trump regarding the autonomous territory of the Kingdom of Denmark, Greenland, have upset many in Europe. Some are claiming that if the US takes military action to take control of Greenland without European approval, that will be the end of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

President Donald Trump has said the U.S. needs Greenland for its own security and that it must be owned by Washington to prevent Russia and China from taking over. …Kubilius’ words mark the first time a top EU official has publicly backed Frederiksen’s position, although EU diplomats privately agree with her.“I will also make it clear that if the U.S. chooses to attack another NATO country militarily, then everything stops, including NATO, and thus the security that has been established since the end of the Second World War,” Frederiksen said in a Jan. 5 interview with broadcaster TV2.
WOW! Way too much rhetoric coming out of Europe! The US is not, nor does the US have plans, to militarily invade a NATO member nation! (Greenland is not a NATO member in its own right, but it is associated with NATO through Denmark).
As President Trump’s postings have been saying, Greenland must be under the control of the US for the purpose of National Security. While we believe that President Donald Trump is a godsend ── and was saved by Almighty God for His purpose ── we also see that many of his international policies will have unintended consequences. There are a few allies that are offended, and many in Europe are taking additional steps.
It should be noted that one should remember our history. It’s not the first time that the US wanted to buy Greenland.
Executive summaryPresidents and senior U.S. officials have eyed Greenland repeatedly from the 19th century to today: Andrew Johnson and his circle explored Greenland after the Alaska purchase; William Howard Taft’s diplomats proposed a land-exchange in the early 20th century; Harry S. Truman made a formal postwar bid in 1946; Pentagon and White House planners kept interest alive through the Eisenhower years; Vice‑presidential and cabinet figures floated ideas in the 1970s; and Donald Trump publicly pursued a purchase and later renewed …[interest] in 2019 and the 2020s. 5
However, God’s living word teaches us about a great power that will be destroyed by its friends, who became enemies ── Lamentations 1:1-2. And certainly, prophetically, a more militarized Greenland would play a role. □
