To Be or Not to Be ── A Debunk of Evolution!

“To be, or not to be, that is the question …”

The other day, while I was at home, I said out loud, to no one in particular, “I am, therefore I am.” And I was reminded by Alexa that the statement, which I thought was from Isaac Asimov, actually came from ── the actual quote, René Descarteś ── “I think, therefore I am.” And then she babbled on about something having to do with the Three Laws of Robotics!

However, I opened with this because I want to discuss the theory of evolution with you today.

On a website called Watts Up With That?, Ross Pomeroy has an article entitled, “Human Evolution: ‘Our Ultimate Fate Comes Down to… Three Possibilities.’” And, throughout my research over these past 45 years, I have encountered these three possibilities before.

“Humans are still evolving,” Dr. Scott Solomon, an Associate Teaching Professor at Rice University specializing in ecology, evolutionary biology, and scientific communication, wrote in his forthcoming book Becoming Martian: How Living in Space Will Change Our Bodies and Minds. …

“In the far-flung future, what will happen to us, evolutionarily speaking?”

It’s a question that Solomon considered in his 2016 book, Future Humans: Inside the Science of Our Continuing Evolution. He surmised that our ultimate evolutionary fate could follow one of three basic trajectories.

The first is a standstill – our species will remain roughly as it currently is. But Solomon thinks this is unlikely. …

Our second possible fate is extinction. Though the chances of this may seem remote to our brains biased to optimism, the odds are far higher than any of us would like to admit. …

The third possible fate for humanity, which Solomon explored in depth in Becoming Martian, is that at least part of humanity will evolve into a different species.

In this article, I would like to look closely at these three possibilities from this said article, but first… we should debunk human evolution ── and for that matter, animal evolution. Strict and diehard evolutionists claim that all the elements of an early earth all lined up, and an electrical spark ignited life, and then, somehow, life began to evolve and… well… here we are sitting in front of a computer, drinking a Caramel Macchiato, speaking to the world! What About LIFE?

Where did LIFE come from?

Did life originate from what the likes of Carl Sagan had argued? “That the early atmosphere of the Earth was hydrogen-rich, and that the origin of life occurred before the hydrogen was lost, and that such gases sparked, creating life. That life began in the ocean with temperatures that began to fall and the amino-acids, and the proteins and the nucleotides – and how these different chemicals and the different aspects of this old earth – which condensed out of interstellar gas and dust some 4.5 billion years ago – and how they came together to form the earliest stages of life – a kind of organic soup!?”

Well, LIFE ONLY COMES FROM LIFE!

The late great French microbiologist Louis Pasteur, in 1862, tested the validity of a widely held belief in spontaneous generation. For centuries, the general population and naturalists alike believed that a variety of organisms could arise spontaneously. Sound familiar? “The universe can and will create itself from nothing” [a quote from Stephen Hawking]. Pasteur’s experiments showed that microbes CANNOT arise from nonliving materials. Now, there are those who argue that eons ago, conditions on Earth and in the atmosphere were vastly different from those they were in Pasteur’s lifetime. Pasteur proved that microorganisms come from the multiplication of parent microorganisms of their own kind. Advocates of this spontaneous generation doctrine continue to argue that some form of the doctrine is true, in the sense that if life did not always exist on Earth, it must have been spontaneously generated at some point. And, without even realizing it, turning 360° back to a CREATOR!

The evolution of life is not actually based on science ── instead, it’s based upon… O’ what phrase did that article use? It was surmise, which is not a scientific term. Evolution is based upon minds that absolutely refuse to accept the facts of a mighty and powerful Creator.

Well, having said all that, the FIRST of this Dr. Solomon’s three possibilities:

1. A standstill – that human beings will remain roughly as we currently are.

That analysis is both true and false.

Let me explain. You see… the human family doesn’t stop – it doesn’t stop after a thousand years. Sadly, the likes of the Seventh-day Adventists, under the leadership of Ellen G. White, are taught that the Earth is going to be melted down like liquid glass! An absolute perversion of the Word of God! It’s not the Way it’s going to happen! God the Father is returning with Jesus Christ! And He’s going to associate with human beings.

Isaiah 9:6 - 7 – “Of the increase of His government and peace THERE WILL BE NO END, …” Which begs the question: Why do so many remnant churches teach that at the end of the Millennium and the “Great White Throne Judgment” that the Earth is going to be melted down like liquid glass and it’s all over, no more humankind? Well, if there are no more humankind, there are no more godkind. But the Bible says just the opposite: “Of the increase of His government and peace THERE WILL BE NO END!” “Even forever.”

There won’t be a cessation of human reproduction and human families; they will continue, and then at some point in their maturity, in their spiritual growth, at some point in their life, they also will be allowed to graduate, as it were, into the Family of GOD. To literally be “born again.”

Yes indeed! Mankind, created after the God kind will continue, made “in Our image, according to Our likeness” – Genesis 1:26. Because, if mankind ── as that article stated, “Becoming Martian” occurs (as I’ll speak on more in a moment), then mankind would no longer be in the image and likeness of God.

Let’s look at this doctor's SECOND possibility:

     2. Extinction.

As previously mentioned, if there are no more humankind, there are no more godkind. It’s really LOGIC 101. But also, and we highly stress the living warning of our Master, Creator, and Savior, Jesus Christ, concerning the soon-coming trauma ──

“’ For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22) And UNLESS those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved [and the Moffett translation renders this ‘saved alive’]; but for the elects sake those days will be shortened.’” – Matthew 24:21-22.

Yes! Praise be to our mighty Father God and our Lord Jesus Christ ── they will intervene and keep mankind from destroying ourselves ──

“’ Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; …’” ── as we’ve spoken about elsewhere, during those days the atmosphere will be thick with massive ash clouds caused by volcanoes erupting all around the world all at once caused by a massive earthquake the likes of which the earth has never experienced, and even possibly a nuclear winter. “ … ‘the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.’” ── Satan the Devil and his imps won’t be allowed to travel throughout the atmosphere but will be confined to the earth.

“Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, …” – Revelation 6:14.

Earth’s atmosphere will be cleared of pollution caused by massive volcanoes erupting worldwide, and possibly caused by a nuclear winter.

30) Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and the tribes [the nations] of the earth WILL MOURN, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with POWER AND GREAT GLORY.’” – Matthew 24:29-30.

Men will literally see in the nights sky a tiny distant light, and then throughout the following nights and months the light gets brighter and closer ── and upon looking up and seeing this bright light coming towards the earth at lightning speed, mankind will say to the caves and in the rocks of the mountains they are hiding within, “Fall on us, and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?” – Revelation 6:16.

And then, this doctor's THIRD possibility is that human beings ── again, created in the very “image and likeness” of God ── will eventually evolve into Martians, or Venusians, Plutonians, or even Europians (if humans eventually travel to and “evolve” on the moon Europa)! In other words, humans would no longer be human.

Well, mankind will never become Martians or Proxima Centaurians, because mankind is not evolving. Nor would mankind “evolve” on a distant planet ── even if it could support life as we know it. Human beings can and do adapt, but we do not evolve. But God’s living word does clearly teach us that true Christians will be resurrected, and will change from mortal to immortal, from wholly physical to wholly spiritual beings ──

“Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood CANNOT inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. 51) Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep [die], but we shall all be changed – 52) in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye [within a split second], AT THE LAST TRUMPET. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead [the dead in Christ] will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53) For this corruptible MUST put on incorruption, and this mortal MUST put on immortality.” – 1 Corinthians 15:49-53; see also 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17.

Unless You Are Born Again

In the Book of John, the 3rd chapter, here we read the response that Jesus gave to a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, who was curious as to whether Jesus was really who He said He was. So, here was, in all accounts, an upstanding man in his society who came to Jesus at night – because he didn’t want his neighbors or religious associates to discover that he was conversing with Jesus Christ. Indeed, it says in verse 2 – “This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, ‘Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs [these miracles] that You do unless God is with him.’” It’s amazing – here it was that he understood that Jesus was someone of extreme importance and that His ability to perform these miracles – he knew that the Man came from God, yet here he was out at night – incognito – so that no one saw him. It reminds us of religious people today. They claim to be Christian but are very afraid to truly keep the commandments of God and have and defend the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Our Lord Jesus went on to explain, verse 3 – “ ... ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.’”

And Nicodemus said in bewilderment – verse 4 – “ ...’ How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?’”

Notice our Lord Jesus’ response. He says, verse 5 – “ ...’ Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.’”

Well, none of these doctors’ three possibilities is going to occur. Yet he is correct in the fact that all of mankind is risking its very existence. Sadly, a large majority of mankind completely ignores God’s living words to all humanity.

There is coming a time when it’s going to be announced ──

“ … ‘The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord [God the Father] and of His Christ, and He shall reign FOREVER AND EVER! …

17) … ‘We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, The One who is and who was and who is to come, Because You have taken Your great power and reigned. 18) The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, And the time of the dead, that they should be judged, And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, And those who fear Your name, small and great, And should destroy those who destroy the earth.’” – Revelation 11:15, 17-18.

While human beings, who cannot get along with our neighbors, will eventually cause such devastation that the very likelihood that all life upon the earth would cease to exist (cf. Matthew 24:21-22), the greatest of news is the glorious promise of the powerful return of our Savior, Jesus Christ, to put an immediate stop to it, and will establish the glorious kingdom of God! □
