Elam is a reference to at least some in Iran. Iran will be utterly destroyed!

In Isaiah 22:8, “Judah” is a reference to those in the land called today, Israel. The LORD God is soon going to allow Israel to be viciously attacked! Verse 9, consider “the damage to the city of David, that is was great” is a reference to the city of Jerusalem.

In this dual prophecy, there is coming a time very soon when the LORD God will take away the protection of Judah and the city of David ── Jerusalem!

It is worth keeping in mind the fact that Iran and its proxy allies could strike and cause “great damage.” Certainly, Iran will try and strike back immediately, but what of its “sleeper cells” throughout the world?

The idea of an Islamic military alliance is nothing new. In the past, both the Democratic and Republican administrations have supported such an idea. And, yes, according to God’s living word ── the Holy Bible ── an Islamic military alliance, which will include Egypt, will occur. See: Daniel 11:40-43; Ezekiel 30:2-8. The leader of this final alliance is called the ‘king of the South’ in God’s living word. 

We do believe that it will involve some type of Arab/Islamic confederation, that is consistent with Ezekiel 30:2-8, a two-fold prophecy ──

“’ Son of man, prophesy and say, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: ‘Wail, ‘Woe to the day!’ 3) For the day is near, Even the day of the LORD is near; It will be a day of clouds, the time of the Gentiles.

4) The sword shall come upon Egypt, And great anguish shall be in Ethiopia, When the slain fall in Egypt, And they take away her wealth, And her foundations are broken down. 

5) ‘Ethiopia, Libya, Lydia, all the mingled people, Chub, and the men of the lands who are allied, shall fall with them by the sword.’ 6) ‘Thus says the LORD: ‘Those who uphold Egypt shall fall, And the pride of her power shall come down. From Migdol to Syene Those within her shall fall by the sword,’ Says the Lord GOD. 

7) ‘They shall be desolate in the midst of the desolate countries, And her cities shall be in the midst of the cities that are laid waste. 8) Then they will know that I am the LORD, When I have set a fire in Egypt And all he helpers are destroyed.’” 

Now, the prophesied political deal that occurs in Psalm 83:3-8 occurs while the final ‘king of the North’ is still on good speaking terms with the prophesied final ‘king of the South,’ although they both take crafty counsel against each other ── 

“Both these kings’ hearts shall be bent on evil, and they speak lies at the same table; but it shall not prosper, for the end will still be at the appointed time.” – Daniel 11:27. 

Now, this two-fold political deal occurs before the fall of the United States of America, which is prophesied to occur in Daniel 11:39, in which the final Catholic led European civic and military leader acts against “the strongest fortresses with a foreign god.” It seemingly occurs after the United States loses her sovereignty that the final ‘king of the South’ is so emboldened to “attack him” ── meaning the final Catholic-led European leader, which is spoken of in Daniel 11:40.

And, while there will be an alliance according to Psalm chapter 83, notice what our Lord’s word says regarding its purpose ── 

“They have said, ‘Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.’

5) For they have consulted together with one consent; They form a confederacy against You:

6) The tents of Edom [the progenitor of the Turkish people] and the Ishmaelites [Saudi Arabia]; Moab [think Jordan] and the Hagrites [they anciently dwelt in the land known as Syria today]; 7) Gebal [Lebanon], Ammon [modern Jordan], and Amalek [Turks]; Philistia [modern Palestinians] with the inhabitants of Tyre [Lebanon] 8) Assyria [whose descendants migrated to Germany] also has joined with them; They have helped the children of Lot [Moab and Ammon in modern Jordan]” – Psalm 83:4-8.

This passage is suggesting that the descendants of Israel (which not only includes the modern state of Israel, but also much of the Western nations of today; the United States of America, the United Kingdom and her Commonwealth Nations that includes Australia, and New Zealand) will be eventually attacked by a “confederation of Islamic” nations from the Middle East, who will also align for a short time with a final Catholic-led European power.

Certainly, this political deal spoken of in Psalm chapter 83 will involve war and terrorism—that will be against the modern Western nations, as well as JUDAH, the modern nation of Israel. And while this biblical prophecy in Psalm chapter 83 has not yet been fulfilled, we are now witnessing calls from Moslems that appear to prelude this, as well as the rising of the final ‘king of the South’! □

“We have set a clear policy,” he says in a video statement, “demilitarizing the area south of Damascus, from the Golan Heights to the Druze mountains, is one [red] line. The second line [is] protecting the brothers of our brothers, the Druze in the Druze mountains.”

“We will not allow military forces to descend south of Damascus, we will not allow the Druze to be harmed in Jebel Druze,” says Netanyahu.

Also, what is occurring could be a prelude to the prophecy of Isaiah 17:1. 

God’s living word WARNS that utter destruction is coming to Damascus, Syria!

“thus says the Lord GOD: ‘It shall not stand, Nor shall it come to pass. 8) For the head of Syria is Damascus, …’” – Isaiah 7:7, 8.

“The BURDEN AGAINST DAMASCUS. ‘Behold, Damascus will cease from being a city, And it will be a ruinous heap.

2) The cities of Aroer are forsaken; They will be for flocks Which lie down, and no one will make them afraid. 3) The fortress also will cease from Ephraim, The kingdom of Damascus, And the remnant of Syria; They will be as the glory of the children of Israel,’ Says the LORD of hosts.” – Isaiah 17:1-3.

“Against Damascus. 

‘Hamath and Arpad are shamed, For they have heard bad news. They are fainthearted; There is trouble on the sea; It cannot be quiet. 

24) Damascus has grown feeble; She turns to flee, And fear has seized her. Anguish and sorrows have taken her like a woman in labor. 25) Why is the city of praise [Also known as: Dimashq, Pearl of the East] not deserted, the city of My joy? 

26) Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets, And all the men of war shall be cut off in that day,’ says the LORD of hosts. 

27) ‘I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, And it shall consume the palaces of Ben-Hadad.’” – Jeremiah 49:23-27.

Ben-Hadad means “son of Hadad.” So, since Ben-Hadad is a title, much like Pharaoh or President, this term can refer to different individuals at different times. Here, at the time of the Prophet Jeremiah’s mentioning of this important prophecy, none of the Ben-Hadad’s were alive. This reference could certainly be referring to the new Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa.

DAMASCUS …. According to Britannica, “Although Damascus is well-known to be an ancient city, it remains unclear exactly when the oasis was first settled. Excavations in 1950 demonstrated that an urban center existed in the 4th millennium BCE at Tall al-Ṣālḥiyyah, southeast of Damascus. Pottery from the 3rd millennium BCE has been discovered in the Old City, and mention of “Damaski” was found in a clay tablet at Ebla (present-day Tall Mardīkh) dating to the same period. The first certain written reference to the city is in the hieroglyphic tablets of Tell el-Amarna in Egypt, where it is listed among territories conquered by Thutmose III in 1490 BCE. In the 1st millennium BCE, Damascus became the capital of an Aramaean principality whose history is known mainly through biblical references and Assyrian records.” 1

The reality is ── Damascus has NEVER been completely destroyed to the point of ‘a ruinous heap’ since the LORD God inspired the Prophet Isaiah thousands of years ago.

Why the ambiguity? 

Mostly because Isaiah 17:1 is not totally clear about the period. In this case, Damascus could be utterly destroyed as early as within several months from now. And, if its destruction is tied in with the dual prophecy in Daniel 11:40-43, then it could easily happen within a year. And I say a year because… On November 6th, 2016, while I lay in bed at night, I had a dream, and behold ── I was looking up at the clearest night sky I had ever seen, filled with crystal-clear, bright, shining stars. I watched the stars glisten until I heard a loud, booming voice. It appeared to be the end of a conversation. The voice spoke, “They only have 10 years left.” Whether this has any connection to Daniel 11:40-43, I do not know for certain. But it will come, whether four years from now or only one. We are getting ever-closer to the utter destruction of Damascus.

And, I’m not trying to scare anyone; as our Lord Jesus Christ has told us, ‘See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, …’ However, immediately after that statement, He speaks of what we believe to be a prophecy concerning Daniel 11:40-43, ‘For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. …’ Speaking of the end-time GREAT TROUBLES! The worst period in the history of mankind! ‘the great tribulation’! Israel, Syria, and Iran could easily begin soon the ultimate fulfillment of Isaiah 22:6-10. 

One day soon, the lion of Iran will inflict great damage to Israel ── before or after Israel turns Damascus into ‘a ruinous heap.’

We should expect to witness a major regional war in the Middle East. □
