The Coming ‘Great Tribulation’ and the Disobedience of God’s Commandments

Blessings Everyone! Our Brethren, Friends, and Co-Workers in Christ who are in Bonneville, France; Mongaguá, Brazil; Brisbane, Australia; Elche, Spain; and here in the States, Fayetteville and Pittsboro, North Carolina; and Tampa, Florida! Welcome to the Church of Jesus Christ Online Ministries.

Let’s begin by asking: Just what is prophesied in these latter days to happen to the United States of America? It’s one of the most important prophecies──and as we’ve been saying, God’s living word is indeed 1/3 prophecy. Of course, with the mighty strength and military might of the U.S. at this present time, most will surely scoff and reject one of the most vital factors of this present evil age and its conditions as we near the end of this age. Yes──as I scroll through my Facebook “News” Feed every morning, I witness many things that people really shouldn’t be that concerned about. Yet, they are, and they treat it like it’s the most important thing in the world! And certainly not everyone──but a great many of them. Yet, what is happening now around the world: the atrocious and devastating violent riots that are occurring throughout Europe. The fact that most Democrats within the U.S. are not at all seeing the evil that is before them! But again, it is important to properly understand how the U.S. fits into biblical prophecy, and why. And indeed, God’s living prophecies were written and recorded for us from the perspective of the House of Israel and of Jerusalem. It’s vitally important to understand just WHERE the original settlers of the Americas came from. In fact, the United States of America is mentioned in God’s living prophecies more than any other. Yet, it’s not mentioned under the name we go by today.

Within God’s living word, we will find modern nations mentioned by their ancient names. As an example: the Republic of Türkiye is descended from Esau, who is also often called Edom. And when you see Esau or Edom spoken of, it’s truly speaking about the people of Türkiye today. Also, in like manner, there are some nations that are mentioned that have retained their ancient name ── like Egypt and Syria. We’ll notice in Ezekiel 38 a powerful PROPHECY pertaining to Gog and Magog that will take place AFTER Christ’s Millennial Rule ── by the likes of Siberia, China, and the modern Russian Federation. Now, His living word doesn’t use modern names, like Russia. His word says, “’ Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him.’” – Ezekiel 38:1. Now, who is the LORD speaking about?

Now, if you cannot properly understand who our LORD is speaking about in this prophecy, you will not understand prophecy.

Let’s turn back to the Book of Genesis, the 10th chapter. We find the true identity of these peoples and many of these modern nations. They descended from Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Now ── something that I have often contemplated, though I have no proof of ── is that our Antediluvian patriarch Noah was an albino. 1 Of course I spoke with “SI” concerning this, and it mentioned the Book of Enoch 106:1, as well as answering ── “Studies show early humans developed darker skin to shield against intense UV light, protecting folate and keeping skin healthy. Later research confirms UV radiation was the main driver, with melanin acting as a natural sunscreen. It’s a slow, genetic shift—not something that happens in a single lifetime” 2

Descendants from Shem were “white,” Descendants from Ham were “black,” and descendants from Japheth were “yellow,” such as the Asiatic nations, even including today’s Russian Federation. Surely, nearly every Bible study student today understands this. Be sure to read our article, “Gog and Magog In Prophecy.”

Where does God's living prophecy mention the United States of America? Truly, what ever happened to the LORD God’s chosen people called Israel? Now, I’ve gone around and around with our secular Super Intelligence (SI) ── secular history that SI spouts off without thinking. It calls it “pseudohistorical.” Every time I speak concerning what this world calls “British-Israelism,” or “Anglo-Israelism,” our SI groans. Yet, I say, as Seth in the blockbuster movie City of Angels, “Some things are true whether you believe in them or not.”

As we’ve spoken about many times, ISRAEL was eventually divided into two separate nations. The northern kingdom was called the kingdom of Israel, and the southern kingdom was called the kingdom of Judah ── known as the Jews. And we have seen the very first place within God’s living word where the word “Jew” occurs ── 2 Kings 16:6. The Jews were at war against Israel. So, two different nations altogether.

The northern kingdom of Israel around 722 BC was taken captive when Assyria seized Samaria and deported the Israelite tribes. Now, logically ── after their captivity, most that were left were released and migrated into other parts of the world. Some migrated northwest from ancient Assyria and were “lost” to history.

And, by rightful biblical study along with some secular history, we do discover that many migrated to what is now northwestern Europe and the British Isles. And, of course, the children of Israel, those who would later form the kingdom of Judah, came to outright reject their first king placed over them ── king Rehoboam, who had erected two golden calves, introducing idolatry to the people, and changed the annual Holy Days that were instituted by the LORD God from the SEVENTH MONTH to the eighth month. And when we see the remnants of the northern kingdom of Israel again within secular history, they are now keeping and observing the FIRST DAY of the week rather than the God-ordained seventh day of the week. So, in essence, they have outright rejected THE SIGN!

Now the LORD our God stressed upon the children of Israel to keep the holy and righteous commandments, when He said to them, “’ Now it shall come to pass, IF you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you TODAY, that the LORD your God will set you [the whole of the kingdom of Israel] high above all nations of the earth.’” – Deuteronomy 28:1. And two commandments that were certainly stressed were not to commit idolatry and to remember and keep holy the Sabbath day. And, of course, we are told by the LORD, if you break one of His laws, you break them all ── cf. James 2:10. We see in Ezekiel the 20th chapter that the LORD tells us, “’ Moreover I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between them and Me, that they might know that I am the LORD who sanctifies them.’” – Ezekiel 20:12. As well as giving them His statutes and showing them His judgments. That we should ‘remember and keep holy His Sabbaths.’ Yet, what did the children of Israel do? “’ Yet the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness; they did not walk in My statutes; they despised My judgments, ‘which, if a man does, he shall live by them’; and they GREATLY DEFILED MY SABBATHS.’” – vs. 13.

And then our LORD God went on to say to another generation ── “’ Notwithstanding, the children rebelled against Me; they did not walk in My statutes, and were not careful to observe My judgments, … Then I said I would pour out My fury on them and fulfill My anger against them in the wilderness.

22) Nevertheless I withdrew My hand and acted for My name’s sake, …’” – vs. 21, 22.

He pleaded with them not to ‘walk in the statutes of their fathers, nor observe their judgments, nor defile themselves with their idols.’

So, the LORD God came to raise His hand and give an oath ‘to those in the wilderness, that He would scatter them among the Gentiles and disperse them throughout the countries, because they had not executed His judgments, but had despised His statutes, profaned His Sabbaths, and their eyes were fixed on their fathers’ idols.’ – vs. 23-24.

“’ I am the LORD your God: Walk in My statutes, keep My judgments, and do them; 20) hallow My Sabbaths, and they will be a sign between Me and you, that you may know that I am the LORD your God.’” – Ezekiel 20:19-20.

So therefore, instead of being utterly destroyed, the children of Israel were driven out, ‘scattered among the Gentiles and dispersed throughout the countries.’ Since they desired to be Gentile and live Gentile ways ── they are now believed to be Gentile! Also, so the Jewish people, after their captivity and release, many returning once again to the area known as Judea ── which derives its name from the tribe and later kingdom of Judah ── grew in idolatry and placed heavy yokes of bondage upon the holy Sabbath. They began to come up with traditions of men, yokes of bondage, having come to some 613 commandments! The ‘traditions of men’ that our Lord Jesus rebuked them for ── Mark 7:13. There are whole chapters in the New Testament where our Lord Jesus is chastising them and explaining that “’ the Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.’” The hallow Sabbath was made for man to enjoy and rest from his labor ── not to be bogged down with ‘ye can’t do this, and ye can’t do that!’ Our Lord Jesus Christ is the Mediator of the New Covenant ── not of the Old Covenant! Sadly, how deeply entrenched most of the splinter groups of the Church of God still are in the Old Covenant! And most of these Protestant daughter churches continue to teach that our Lord Jesus preached an Old Covenant message for 3½ years and that He spent that whole time preaching an Old Covenant message just so He could nail it on a cross! With that, I say something that I just said to SI concerning human evolution, in regard to human skin pigmentation, and that’s “Hogwallop!” May our mighty heavenly LORD God help us to understand.

A Birthright Promise

The 2,520-year period that the LORD our God speaks about in Leviticus 26 began with the northern kingdom of Israel’s destruction and captivity around 718 BC──and using the year-for-a-day principle──it runs until roughly AD 1802. Truly, the U.S. was just kicking off its First Industrial Revolution. Samuel Slater opened the first textile mill in 1790, and Eli Whitney patented the cotton gin in 1793, setting the stage for factories and railroads later in the decade. Before this, the American people, and even the British people, were nothing. Just small, rather insignificant colonies in the Americas. By 1804, London, England, was already the world’s pre-eminent financial center. After the Dutch Republic fell in 1795, many Amsterdam bankers moved to London, and the City’s market-center system grew dominant throughout the 1790s. The Bank of England, the London Stock Exchange and Lloyd’s insurance market were firmly established, making London the hub of global credit and trade. 3 But what about the United States of America? Without going into great detail here, we are ISRAEL today. The tiny nation in the Middle East is not Israel. Never, never, never are the Jewish people called by the name ‘the house of Israel’ or ‘the kingdom of Israel.’ Yet, the Jewish people are indeed Israelites. Indeed, the northern kingdom of Israel had as its capital Samaria. The southern kingdom of Judah had as its capital Jerusalem. In essence, Samaria stands for the “House of Israel,” similar to how when someone hears the word “Hollywood,” they instantly think of the American film industry. Often there are names in God’s living word that are in a metonymic process: a figure of speech consisting of the use of the name of one thing for that of another. So, with this in mind, let us continue.

In accordance with the living word of the Eternal One, a ‘great tribulation’ is coming ──a time of tribulation ‘such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be’! And there can only be one time of trouble that is worse in scope than any other time since the beginning of the world. And as I’ve spoken about several times, an important revelation from the LORD God ── Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has prophesied that throughout this present evil age, there would be “ … ‘famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.’” – Matthew 24:7; Revelation 6:5-8. All of this takes place thousands of years before we get to verse 9 of Matthew 24. We have been, and are currently in, “the beginning of sorrows,” also known as “birth pains.” But the end is not yet.

And as we proclaim unto the world, there will rise in Europe a final ‘king of the North’ (a future European combine; Catholic Europe) – which is taking shape right now! And yet, receiving very little notice on the world stage.

And End-Time 3 ½ Years of Warning!

God’s two end-time prophets in the streets of Jerusalem being chased by a mob of haters (cf. Revelation 11:7-10).

Indeed, as I said earlier: the Jewish people, after their captivity and release, many returned once again to the area known as Judea. So, this soon-coming ‘great tribulation’ that our Lord Jesus Christ prophesied for these latter days is primarily speaking concerning JUDEA. Notice ── “’ Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place’ (whoever reads, let him understand).’” – Matthew 24:15. And what we need to understand is our history: Daniel 11:31. Antiochus IV’s desecration of the Temple, setting up the “abomination of desolation.” He halted the daily sacrifices in 167 B.C. It’s fascinating how the duality of prophecy ── having multiple layers ── how Daniel’s vision found its fulfillment with Antiochus IV, but also Jesus points to it as still in the future, yet another layer to unfold. “’ then let those WHO ARE IN JUDEA FLEE TO THE MOUNTAINS.’” – vs. 16.

Yet even before the very beginning of this prophesied ‘great tribulation’ for these latter days, we have verse 9. “’ Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.’” Let us consider ──

“’ And I will give power to my TWO WITNESSES, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days [3½ years], clothed in sackcloth.’ 4) These are two olive trees and two lampstands standing before the god of the earth. 5) And if anyone wants to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouth and devours their enemies. And if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this manner. 6) THESE have power to shut heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy; and they have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they desire.” – Revelation 11:3-6.

~ Conversation With AI Regarding the ‘End-Time Prophets’ ~

“’ And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as A WITNESS to all the nations, and then the end will come.’” – Matthew 24:14.

“When they finish their testimony [witnessing], the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit [the Devil and Satan] will make war against them, over come them, and kill them.” – Revelation 11:7.

“Now after the three-and-a-half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them. 12) And they heard a loud voice from [the atmosphere] saying to them, ‘Come up here.’ And they ascended to [the atmosphere] in a cloud, and their enemies saw them.

13) IN THE SAME HOUR there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell [the city of Jerusalem]. In the earthquake seven thousand people were killed, and the rest were afraid and gave glory to the God of heaven.

14) The second woe is past. Behold, the third woe is coming quickly.” – Revelation 11:11-14.

“’ For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22) And UNLESS those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.’” – Matthew 24:21-22.

We see just who the ’elect’ are in Scriptures such as Daniel 12:1 ── “’ At THAT TIME Michael shall stand up, The great prince who stands watch over the sons [the children] of your people; And there shall be a time of trouble, Such as never was since there was a nation, Even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, …’”

So, He’s speaking of devastation so massive that if He didn’t return early to put a stop to it ── no flesh would be saved. All the children of Israel would come to an end. Yet, praise be to our mighty Lord God, He will cut short this great devastation!

Yes! The Lord God Almighty intervenes, steps in, and stops it! Now, just before the beginning of this end-time ‘great tribulation’ ── something terrible will happen to the United States of America ── it will be subjugated; it will ── in essence ── be neutralized as a world power. This end-time prophesied ‘great tribulation’ is a time of world trouble.

Let’s turn to the Book of Jeremiah, the 30th chapter. Let’s go over a little of this. Here is what is foretold in your Bible. Again, at least 1/3 of God’s living word is prophecy for our time! Listen, the Holy Bible really is a book about one man ── Abraham. And it pertains to the House of Israel, and other nations that come in contact with Israel. The great and awesome Plan From the Beginning that we speak about ── His whole purpose that is being worked out here below, is centered upon the people who He has chosen ── the Israelites. Now, rightfully so, the LORD God is not a respecter of persons (Romans 2:11); the LORD our God chose the children of Israel because He wanted them to be His treasured possession (Deuteronomy 7:6–8, Deuteronomy 7:7, Exodus 19:5, Isaiah 43:10, and Psalm 135:4), not because of their size, but because of His love and promises to their fathers. He doesn’t love the Japanese any less, or the Chinese, or the Arabs, or the people of Africa.

A Future Subjugation

Let’s look into this prophecy concerning our people. Again, these prophecies are centered around the house of Israel ── and the United States of America is a part of the House of Israel, or rather the Kingdom of Israel. The 30th chapter of the Book of Jeremiah ──

“’ For behold, the days are coming,’ says the LORD, ‘that I will bring back from captivity My people ISRAEL and JUDAH,’ says the LORD.” – Jeremiah 30:3.

This is speaking concerning the glorious and powerful second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the deliverance of His chosen people that are in a state of subjugation. Now, as we know, the Jewish people are scattered throughout the nations of the world ── but so is the whole of the House of Israel. Yes, the Jewish people do have their own nation today ── called Israel, but as we near the end of this present age, many Jewish people will be trying to escape Israel and Jerusalem, as did occur after the Temple fell in AD 70; the Jewish population scattered. Some groups headed north through the hills of the Anti-Lebanon range into Lebanon and beyond, sometimes reaching the coast and moving toward Turkey.

So, I’ve spoken concerning the two stressed sins for which our forefathers were punished; and we are guilty of those same two sins today!

Sadly, however, it’s not always clear what is an idol. An idol is not as clear as a statue, or an image of a Christ with feminine features having a beard and long hair. It’s not as clear as having a Buddha figurine on your mantel with candles ablaze around it. It’s not as clear as having an ancient Asherah pole in your home decorated with glistening lights and silvery tinsel. Anything can be an idol ── your automobile, your television set, and even your spouse, or your church. Indeed, our lands are full of idols! I too had an idol at one time, and the LORD God said that I would have to give that up ── and it was one of the toughest things I had to do. It was painful to give it up. It was one of those things that I had wanted since I was eight years old. But I had to surrender and give myself over to the LORD God instead before I could become His begotten child. Before He could begin to use me. And, my friends, you’ll have to give up your idol as well. Of course, your idol may not be the same as I had. Yet, most of us have had many idols. Now, for one, it might be the fact that he thinks he’s rich, has become wealthy, and have need of nothing! Maybe it’s one that thinks he’s learned everything he needed to learn back in 1972, or 1986 ── and he feels he has no need to grow anymore in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus! We have to give our idols up, or we will never see the glorious Kingdom of God! So, whatever your idol is, my friends, you’ve got to give it up. We cannot worship the LORD God and an idol as well.

Moving on to verse 4 ── “Now these are the words that the LORD spoke concerning ISRAEL and JUDAH.” – speaking concerning the Anglo-Americans and the United Kingdom and Commonwealth of Nations, like Australia and New Zealand, and the Middle East nation called Israel.

5) For thus says the LORD: ‘We have heard a voice of trembling, Of fear, and not of peace. [So, during a time of great war]. 6) Ask now, and see, Whether a man is ever in labor with child? So why do I see every man with his hands on his loins Like a woman in labor, And all faces turned pale? [note: Matthew 24:21-22] 7) Alas! For that Day is great, So that none is like it; And it is the time of Jacob’s trouble, [again, a time of tribulation, ‘such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.’] …’”

A time of trouble that this world has never witnessed before, no, nor ever will again! The Day of the LORD!

So, right here within the Book of Jeremiah is a prophecy showing us that the LORD God will take the remnants of the house of Israel and the remnants of the house of Judah and bring them back from subjugation to the land of Palestine. Recall, they were scattered around the world throughout all the countries. This is speaking of Israel as well as the Jews──indeed, millions of Jews are not in the land of Palestine today.

Verse 7 ── “’ Alas! For that Day is great, So that none is like it; And it is the time of Jacob’s trouble, But he [the children of Jacob/Israel] shall be saved out of it.’”

This is speaking of a dreadful and terrible ‘great tribulation’──which is also called the Day of the LORD! Jacob. Who is Jacob? And, where is Jacob today? Well, there are estimated about 15.7 – 16.5 million Jewish people, conservatively, worldwide, 4 of whom have descended from the tribe of Judah, or rather the kingdom of Judah. Yes, this soon-coming ‘great tribulation’ that will be upon them will be ‘such as never happened since there was a nation’! Yet, it doesn’t only involve the tiny nation in the Middle East. No, when we include the United States of America, the United Kingdom and her Commonwealth Nations──the likes of which are Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa──and when it involves a reorganized “United States of Europe,” then we will be in a time that ‘has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be’!

Now, there have been some people who have asked me: ‘What God do you worship?’ and ‘What Bible do you read and study?’ The God I worship is the great Elohim, the family of God (cf. Genesis 1:26), which consists of God the Father and God His Son──Creator of all life and spirits, the great God of Moses, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The awesome and merciful I AM (Exodus 3:13-14; John 6:35; 8:12; 10:9,11; 11:25; 14:6; 15:1). And, in my youth, I began reading and studying the King James Version, and over time I’ve come to understand that the original Old Testament was translated from Hebrew and the New Testament from Greek, with just a smattering of Arabic. And that we must study God’s living word with this in mind. So, when we do study from the Roman Catholic Douay or Challoner-Rheims Version, or the New English Version, or even the New Living Translation, we study it with the understanding of its original source languages. Indeed, we can receive the living truth of the Eternal One, if one is willing. And I don’t mean that we will see everything correctly, but we get near enough to God’s living truth, if one is willing. Yet, we cannot be self-willed; we cannot want our own way──we must completely surrender to the LORD God!

Verse 8 ── “’ For it shall come to pass in that Day,’ Says the LORD of hosts, ‘That I will break his yoke from your neck, And will burst your bonds [here speaking about the whole of the house of Israel]; Foreigners shall no more enslave them.’”

And notice verse 9 from the New English Translation ── “’ But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up to them.’”

So, this is speaking of the time of the glorious resurrection of the dead in Christ! King David will be resurrected and will be king over the whole of the house of Israel, with our Lord Jesus returning with all His angels and saints as King of kings and Lord of lords ── “Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in [the atmosphere], saying, ‘The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord [God the Father] and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!’” – Revelation 11:15.

The whore of Babylon, clothed in scarlet and purple, riding a ‘beast’ with seven heads and ten horns ── symbolizing a corrupt, idolatrous Church, backed by a blasphemous empire.

Also, let’s look at Isaiah chapter 47.

Verse 1 ── “’ Come down and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon; …’”

Now, this isn’t speaking of ancient Babylon: The Babylonian kingdom, or Babylonia, began around the 19th century with the Amorite ruler Sumu-abum and grew into a mighty empire under Hammurabi. It lasted as a mighty independent power until the Persian kingdom captured it in 539 BC──when our Lord Jesus was born, the kingdom had existed roughly 1,900 years. 5 So, this is speaking of “the daughter of Babylon,” a prophecy for our future.

“ … ‘O daughter of the Chaldeans! …’”

Now, yes──often the “she” or “daughter” language is a poetic device. But here the feminine gender is spoken of as a religious element that is over a political element. SI, when asked, of course, gave a scholarly answer: “The ‘she’ language isn’t tied to the Church. It’s a literary personification—authors give a city or nation a feminine voice to evoke a mother‑land image, and the same device shows up in poetry, politics and even ship‑talk, not just religious symbolism.” 6

“ …’ For you shall no more be called Tender and delicate.’” ── and if we compare this with Revelation 17 & 18, we see the same type of language.

Notice verse 5 ── “’ Sit in silence, and go into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans; For you shall no longer be called The Lady of Kingdoms.’”

O indeed. Isaiah 47 comes from the “Deutero-Isaiah” section (which is chapters 40-55), which was written while the kingdom of Judah was in Babylonian exile in the 6th century BC. It delivers a vivid oracle that the “daughter of Babylon” will be humiliated and destroyed. Again, the word “lady” here is spoken of as a religious element that is over a political element.

Verse 6 ── “’ I was angry with My people [the whole of the house of Israel]; I have profaned My inheritance, …’” ── why? Because of their unrepentant sins, and indeed He will allow this judgment of the ‘great tribulation’ to occur, unless we as a nation repent! “ … ‘And given them [the whole house of Israel] into your hand [speaking here of the ‘daughter of Babylon’]. You showed them no mercy; On the elderly [upon our fathers] you laid your yoke very heavily.’”

And throughout these centuries indeed a mighty heavy yoke was laid upon the ancient house of Israel ── the divided kingdom of Israel. □

Terror Was Prophesied

September 11th, 2001, ISLAMIC TERRORISTS hijacked four commercial airliners and used them as weapons to strike at the United States of America ── murdering 2,977 Americans and injuring thousands more!

Ever since then, the US has spent an exorbitant amount of money to “fight terrorism,” as well as passing laws and taking military steps.

Now, Zohran Mamdani is mayor of New York City.

Also, since this attack on September 11th, 2001, the United States government has eliminated a great deal of US citizens' privacy. All Americans have lost many of our inalienable rights under the US Constitution, i.e., the right to liberty (freedom from unlawful restraint), the right of free speech, the right to self-defense, the right to free movement, the right to worship freely, and the right to think freely.

And of course, after losing many of our rights and freedoms, our US government opened the door wide to millions of unvetted illegal immigrants ── be sure to read “TERROR AT OUR DOOR: HOW THE BIDEN-HARRIS ADMINISTRATION’S OPEN-BORDERS POLICIES UNDERMINE NATIONAL SECURITY AND ENDANGER AMERICANS.”

Certainly, I wouldn’t say that it was on this day, at 8:46 EST, that the great and powerful United States of America began to fall ── but one would surely have to admit that since September 11th, 2001, the nation – which had relative respect for the US Constitution regarding individual freedom and privacy- is now a nation that is like the old proverbial saying: Our cheese is sliding off the cracker! We are, more than ever before in my lifetime, a Socialist totalitarian nation, backed and supported by Islam. Sadly, the nation's ultimate downfall has been in the planning for at least 100-years! There has been (and in large respects, continues to be) suppression of free speech and the freedom of thought, from terrorist groups like Antifa, outright censoring of vital news and information from Left-leaning media outlet juggernauts, and by corporations like Meta and Alphabet Inc., which owns Google. As well as YouTube (owned by Google LLC; you see a monopoly here?) ── intentionally “hiding” certain views on their platform of channels they deem “go against their hate speech policy.” And the US government has encouraged and helped push even more censorship and persecution upon US citizens to enforce and maintain their policies since September 11th, 2001.

All of this cannot be overlooked.

Our beloved 16th US President, Abraham Lincoln, delivered a speech on June 16th, 1885, that echoed our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ’s words ── the “House Divided” speech. It was a pivotal moment in American history!

“’ If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25) And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.’” – Mark 3:24-25.

Sadly, what will ultimately occur to the United States of America, and the United Kingdom and her Commonwealth Nations ── Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, will be far worse than what anyone can imagine. The Biden/Harris Administration has allowed, very possibly, hundreds, if not thousands, of known and unknown terrorists into the US who could be awaiting further instructions from their handler.

Mass ICE enforcement and removal of illegal immigrants ── especially criminal illegals ── by the Trump/Vance Administration has caused many people who are infected with Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) to literally lose their minds! Such as Robert De Niro, Rosie O’Donnell, Howard Stern, Whoopi Goldberg, and even Eminem. And because President Donald Trump has tariffed our European allies and has enforced that they pay their fair share, which they unequivocally were not doing ── our European allies have now become our frenemy.

Turning to Psalm 83 we see a prophecy ── yes indeed, a prophecy ── with some modern national identities inserted using “[ ]” ──

“’ They have taken crafty counsel against Your people, And consulted together against Your sheltered ones. 4) They have said, ‘Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.’ 5) For they have consulted together with one consent; They form a confederacy against You: 6) The tents of Edom [the progenitor of the Turkish people] and the Ishmaelites [Saudi Arabia]; Moab [think Jordan] and the Hagrites [they anciently dwelt in the land known as Syria today]; 7) Gebal [Lebanon], Ammon [modern Jordan], and Amalek [Turks]; Philistia [modern Palestinians] with the inhabitants of Tyre [Lebanon] 8) Assyria [whose descendants migrated to Germany] also has joined with them; They have helped the children of Lot [Moab and Ammon in modern Jordan]” – Psalm 83:3-8.

Nearly all of the above peoples today are in lands that are dominated by Islam ── be sure to read, “Is An Islamic NATO Being Formed?”

Truly, this prophecy of Psalm 83 will involve TERRORISM! Why? Because the phrase, ‘taking crafty counsel’ certainly sounds like the plotting of terrorism. We should also note that a “deal” will happen involving Assyria ── which is prophesied to subjugate (When a nation is subjugated by another, it means that the subjugated state has been completely conquered and absorbed by the conquering power, losing its sovereignty) the United States of America, the United Kingdom, and her Commonwealth Nations. See cf. Isaiah 10:5-7.

The Europeans ── a “United States of Europe” ── will come to make a destructive agreement with a final Islamic “Confederation of Islamic Nations,” also called the ‘king of the South’; let us consider the following ──

“’ Assyria is there, and all her company, With their graves all around her, All of them slain, fallen by the sword. 23) Her graves are set in the recess of the Pit, And her company is all around her grave, All of them slain, fallen by the sword, WHO CAUSED TERROR IN THE LAND OF THE LIVING.’” – Ezekiel 32:22-23.

It appears ── though we see through a glass darkly (1 Corinthians 13:12) ── that the final ‘king of the South’ will employ some type of nuclear warfare (possibly a dirty bomb or an Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) weapon), employing terrorism against the descendants of the house of Israel, and, likely, Assyria (a “United States of Europe” – also called a final ‘king of the North’) would initially encourage this.

God’s living word in prophecy specifically warns us about “TERROR” as a curse for the disobedient descendants of Jacob (See: Leviticus 26:16; Jeremiah 15:8; and Deuteronomy 32:25), and since TERRORISM has primarily been used by Islamists, this may be a huge part of how they will fulfill their centuries long plan for the utter annihilation of the ‘Great Satan’ and the ‘Little Satan’! The “destruction” of Western nations, dominated by the descendants of the house of Israel, which does include Judah, the tiny nation that is called Israel. As they say, ‘Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more!’

Again, God’s living word does show us that a final ‘king of the North’ will ‘act against the strongest fortresses’ in the dual prophecy in Daniel 11:39, and will be, at least initially, in conjunction with the terrorists of a final ‘king of the South’ – Psalm 83:3-6. This will greatly aid in the downfall of a mighty empire known as the United States of America. This final ‘king of the South’ will be a type of Islamic Confederation of States in North Africa and the Middle East, according to Daniel 11:40-43.

Terrorism was prophesied to occur by the LORD our God upon the unrepentant nations of Israel ──

“’ But IF you do not obey Me, and do not observe all these commandments, 15) and if you despise My statutes, or if your soul abhors My judgments, so that you do not perform all My commandments, but break My covenant, 16) I also will do this to you: I will even appoint TERROR over you, wasting disease and fever which shall consume the eyes and cause sorrow of heart. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. 17) I will set My face against you, and you shall be defeated by your enemies. Those who hate you shall reign over you, and you shall flee when no one pursues you.’” – Leviticus 26:14-17.

“’ They [the children of Israel] have corrupted themselves; They are not His children, Because of their blemish: A perverse and crooked generation. … 25) The sword shall destroy outside; There shall be terror within For the young man and virgin, The nursing child with the man of gray hairs.’” – Deuteronomy 32:5, 25.

“’ Cry and wail, son of man; For it will be against My people, Against all the princes of Israel. TERRORS including the sword will be against My people; Therefore strike your thigh.’” – Ezekiel 21:12.

“’ Because you disdained all my counsel, And would have none of my rebuke, 26) I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your TERROR comes, 27) When your TERROR comes like a storm, And your destruction comes like a whirlwind, When distress and anguish come upon you.’” – Proverbs 1:25-27.

Sadly, what is to occur to ‘the city of David’ along with the Anglo-Saxon nations, the Western nations, soon will be far worse than the devastation of September 11th, 2001. Do not wait until it’s too late to get your spiritual house in order, to repent, and to believe in the gospel (Mark 1:15), so that the LORD God’s protection can be upon you.

Confess to a Priest or Confess to God?

The sacrament of penance in the Roman Catholic Church, confession (OpenAI-generated)

Last night I was watching on television a great classic movie starring John Wayne, “Operation Pacific.” The wonderful actress, Patricia Neal, uttered the words, “I told him it was sort of a penance.” And that got me thinking about this word, penance, and confessing to a priest vs. repentance unto the LORD God. What’s the difference? I’d like to explain──welcome to the Church of Jesus Christ Online Ministries (COJCOM). The LORD God’s living word ── the Holy Bible ── clearly teaches us concerning repentance, here regarding the asking for forgiveness, only unto the LORD God (cf. 2 Chronicles 7:14; Isaiah 55:7; Joel 2:12-13; Acts 3:19). But what about this “auricular confession” – meaning, sacramental confession, involving a confession of one’s sins verbally to a religious authority, usually a Catholic priest, who then grants “absolution” (forgiveness) and then may assign an act of penance for any “spiritual reconciliation”? Is any of that taught within God’s living word?

After all, His living word does tell us that we are to “confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” – 1 John 1:5-10. But has the Roman Catholic Church, along with many others, taken liberties with this passage and others, along with some of their own early documents?

Penance began in the 4th century as the Roman Catholic’s way to assign acts for sin’s penalty, evolving from public confession. It became a formal sacrament in the Middle Ages and was reshaped by the Reformation. The Reformation really transformed the concept of penance.

Let’s begin by reading a passage from the Challoner-Rheims Version (a Catholic version, the Saint Joseph New Catholic Edition (NCB) ──

“Confess, therefore, your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be saved. For the unceasing prayer of a just man is of great avail.” – James 5:16, NCB.

Now, note that this is not an admonishment to confess your sins to a clergy/minister or a priest. Also, the Greek word here translated “sin” should be paraptōma, which means “trespass, transgression, or fault.” They have actually mistranslated it as “sin.” The Greek word for sin is hamartia ── as in the word used in 1 John 1:7. 1

I went and had a short conversation with AI regarding why the Catholic Bible doesn’t capitalize “His,” “He,” or Him” when verses are speaking of God the Father or our Lord Jesus ──

Totally, Sir, that’s the core of the whole debate! It’s a clear difference between prioritizing the original Greek manuscripts and using the translation to express that reverence visually. Do you think that visual reminder changes how people actually experience the text when they’re reading it?

Brethren, true Christians are to confess our sins to God our Father through and in the name of Jesus, the blood of Jesus Christ, His Son, cleanses us from all sin, and He will forgive us of our sins. There is no mention whatsoever of any public penance, nor any mention of one in James 5:16 ── which actually uses the word “faults” and not sins.

Penance is not biblical, nor was it ever an apostolic practice or tradition.

The 1913 Catholic Encyclopedia, Vol. XI, states ──

Teaching of the [Roman Catholic] Church. — The Council of Trent (1551) declares: “As a means of regaining grace and justice, penance was at all times necessary for those who had defiled their souls with any mortal sin. …”

Belief and Practice of the Early [Roman Catholic] Church. — Among the modernistic propositions condemned by Pius X … “In the primitive Church there was no concept of the reconciliation of the Christian sinner by the authority of the Church, but the Church by very slow degrees only grew accustomed to this concept. …” 3

The Catholic Encyclopedia also states, “The Sacrament of PENANCE. —Penance is a sacrament of the New Law instituted by Christ in which forgiveness of sins committed after baptism is granted through the priest's absolution to those who with true sorrow confess their sins.” Its main Scriptural proof is Luke 20:21-22.

In short, the early Roman Catholic Church implemented public penance as a structured ecclesiastical discipline ── again, it is not biblical.

God’s living word shows us clearly that we are to confess our sins to God our Father and God His Son and to no other ──

“Because it is written: ‘For as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God.’ 12) So then, each one of us shall give account of himself to God.” – Romans 14:11-12, NET.

“Because of this, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of the faith we profess ── Jesus Christ.” – Hebrews 3:1, NET.

Let’s take a look at Acts 19:18-19, in which the Catholics insist on teaching public penance ──

Brethren, the above Scripture of many people coming forward, having repented of their sins and confessing, and then burning certain occult books, is not considered penance ── certainly not in the sense that the Roman Catholic Church advocates it.

Of course, because there was great opposition to public penance within the Roman Catholic Church, i.e., Martin Luther 5, did the Church change its position? Well… they basically flip-flopped… so, yes, even though they have suggested otherwise in the past.

It’s interesting to see this flip-flopping here on November 25, 1551 ──

CANON VI. --If any one denieth, either that sacramental confession was instituted, or is necessary to salvation, of divine right; or saith, that the manner of confessing secretly to a priest alone, which the Church hath ever observed from the beginning, and doth observe, is alien from the institution and command of Christ, and is a human invention; let him be anathema. 6

That very word “anathema” means, “something or someone vehemently disliked.”

Now, the above is absolutely and unequivocally wrong! Again, notice this flip-flopping from their own Catechism of the Catholic Church ──

Over the centuries the concrete form in which the Church has exercised this power received from the Lord has varied considerably. During the first centuries the reconciliation of Christians who had committed particularly grave sins after their Baptism (for example, idolatry, murder, or adultery) was tied to a very rigorous discipline, according to which penitents had to do public penance for their sins, often for years, before receiving reconciliation. To this “order of penitents” (which concerned only certain grave sins), one was only rarely admitted and in certain regions only once in a lifetime. During the seventh century Irish missionaries, inspired by the Eastern monastic tradition, took to continental Europe the “private” practice of penance, which does not require public and prolonged completion of penitential works before reconciliation with the Church. From that time on, the sacrament has been performed in secret between penitent and priest. This new practice envisioned the possibility of repetition and so opened the way to a regular frequenting of this sacrament. It allowed the forgiveness of grave sins and venial sins to be integrated into one sacramental celebration. In its main lines this is the form of penance that the Church has practiced down to our day. 7

So, basically, they’re all over the place with this.

Now, of course, our Lord, Savior, and High Priest──the Son of God, Jesus Christ, teaches us to ACKNOWLEDGE OUR SINS BEFORE GOD, and REPENT OF OUR SINS BEFORE GOD ──

“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9) If we confess our sins, HE is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10) If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.” – 1 John 1:8-10.

Sadly, while most Catholics are taught and believe that sins cannot be forgiven without the “sacrament of confession,” that is NOT TRUE! And as we see in their own Catechism, even their current “sacrament of confession” was not their original.

Our Lord Jesus’ Church Regarding Repentance

Our Lord and Savior’s true Church of God, which has existed since its founding ── the Day of Pentecost, 31 AD ── is not Catholic or Protestant. It bases its beliefs on ONE fundamental Rock – the living Jesus Christ! In which He teaches ──

“ … ‘Men and brethren, what shall we do?’

38) Then Peter said to them, ‘REPENT, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” – Acts 2:37, 38.

True Christians are never to inflict punishment upon ourselves or others, believing that this will cause the LORD God to hear our supplications and prayers. Notice the Book of Isaiah chapter 58, verses 2 to 7. The LORD God is telling us, ‘I don’t want you to worship Me this way, where you’re harming yourself or others ‘to make your voice heard on high.’

Exactly, Leonard ── it’s about that internal TURN TOWARD GOD rather than an external show. The point is that repentance is a relationship, not a performance.

“Well, let’s not forget the Catholic priest saying, ‘Do three Hail Marys and call me in the morning!’ whatever that means.”

Yeah, that sounds like a way to keep someone on the hook. It’s like a task to complete before they’ll actually give you the time of day or a final answer.

“It reminds me of the doctor telling you, ‘Take three aspirins and call me in the morning!’”

The AI’s reply was a dry, mechanical, long chuckle, Ha, exactly. It’s that same vibe of just giving someone a task to do to get them out of the way for a bit. Do you think that’s the kind of thing that makes people feel like they’re getting railroaded and just being stalled?

Indeed, Leonard. Here’s the core of this ── that the veil being torn means the middleman is gone. It’s a huge contrast to the idea of needing a priest to mediate that connection.

God’s living word teaches that we MUST ADMIT OUR SINS UNTO HIM.

Indeed, prayer and fasting are not the only methods the LORD God seeks. Let us also notice examples of the prophets Daniel and Nehemiah, along with others. In every case they FREELY ACKNOWLEDGED THEIR SINS AND SHORTCOMINGS! It takes a deep and sincere person to say, “’ Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; 24) And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the Way everlasting.’” – Psalm 139:23-24.

Because if we are truly seeking the LORD God’s Way, this is the attitude that we will reflect. We will freely admit that we are sinners, admit our sins and our shortcomings unto the LORD God, and ask for help in showing us always the Way.

“O LORD, I know the way of man is not in himself; It is not in man who walks to direct his own steps. 24) O LORD, correct me, but with justice; Not in Your anger, lest You bring me to nothing.” – Jeremiah 10:23-24.

We, as carnal human beings, with a carnal mind, do not actually know how to properly live. Yet, once we are called by Father God and begin learning of His Way, and we begin to look unto Him to show us how to properly live and how to change our lives, we are on the way to proper repentance (be sure to read and study, “The compassion of God encompasses every single person”).

Now, sadly, some erroneously believe that the Eternal God could never forgive them because they have committed the “unpardonable sin,” yet those who feel this way can be assured that they have not committed it ──

“If we confess our sins [unto the LORD God], He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” – 1 John 1:9.

God’s living word tells us to confess our faults, our trespasses, to one another, and to pray for one another, that we may be healed. But we are to confess our sins to Father God and our Lord Jesus Christ. Our Lord Jesus’ New Covenant shows us that we need no longer to go to a human priest, nor do we need to do any “public penance” for sins. □

GREETINGS EVERYONE! Now, I have spoken of this important subject before: the Four Horsemen of the “Apocalypse” ── like in our article, “Revelation – A Book of the Past and the Future (Part IV).” Which is also in audio on our SoundCloud channel. 🔊

As I’ve asked before, if you could know what your future holds, would you want to know? And who would you trust to tell you the truth regarding this? What is going to happen in the world in the very near future? Truly, all of God’s living prophecies are coordinated within the Book of Revelation──that is how important this Book truly is. God’s prophecies begin in the Book of Genesis and go throughout His living word all the way to the end of the Book of Revelation.

In the very Book of Revelation──and our Lord Jesus Christ had sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, who recorded the visions of what he had seen. The Book of Revelation of Jesus Christ contains the word of God and the direct testimony of our Lord Jesus, besides His prophecies. And these are His prophecies; they are of no private interpretation (2 Peter 1:20). Most of the prophecies are recorded in what the Apostle John had seen in vision while imprisoned on the Isle of Patmos. When we come to chapter 6 of the Book of Revelation, we find that it’s in symbols.

Again, it is our Lord Jesus Christ who is the revelator, not the Apostle John. Apostle John was merely the one who was recording it. JESUS CHRIST IS THE REVEALER! He is the one who reveals the prophecies. Because, as we are told in chapter 5, it was He, ‘the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, who had prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its SEVEN SEALS.’ And something that has been revealed to me, and I speak more concerning this in the article, “Conversation With AI Regarding the Meaning of ‘the beginning of sorrows’ ── and ‘Then’ (Part I)” is that our Lord Jesus Christ begins to open the seals spoken of in chapter 6 not long after His glorious resurrection and ascension to the upper heavenly realms! But here in chapter 6, He begins opening the seals; we find the first seal reveals a white horse, and he who sat on it had a bow; and a crown upon his head. The second seal reveals a fiery red horse, and he who sat on it was granted to take peace from the earth, and there was granted to him a great sword. The third seal reveals a black horse, and its rider had a pair of scales in his hand. The fourth seal reveals a pale horse with a rider whose name is Death and Hades──and these are all symbolic.

So, it’s not made plain here, yet we find that just as our Lord Jesus explained His parables to His servants then──His parables were used to mask the true meaning of a subject──in which the people didn’t understand, His disciples went to Him privately and asked Him for the subject's true meaning. He went on to reveal to them the true meaning in simple and plain language. Notice ──

“And the disciples came and said to Him, ‘Why do You speak to them in parables?’ 11) He answered and said to them, ‘Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom [from] heaven, but to them it has not been given.’” – Matthew 13:10-11.

So, again, something that I want to reiterate and stress, and I’m not sure if many people truly understand this, but the seals in chapter 6 of the Book of Revelation were beginning to be opened not long after our Lord Jesus Christ was resurrected and had ascended back to the upper heavenly realms. Those four seals have been in motion throughout Church history rather than purely future events. They are ongoing rather than just end-time markers.

Matthew 24

We find that our Lord Jesus Christ does indeed explain these symbols of the four horsemen with the same identical story, in plain language, in what many call His “Sermon on the Mount.” It’s found in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21.

First, our Lord Jesus said there would be false Christianity ── “’ For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.’” – Matthew 24:4-5.

Mark 1:15 ── is the heart of our Lord Jesus’ entire ministry! “’ The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. …’” That kairos moment when the LORD God’s prophetic timeline began upon our Savior’s arrival. That moment in time when ‘the beginning of sorrows’ was about to begin, with each generation experiencing those ‘birth pangs’ our Lord Jesus speaks of ── false religion, wars and rumors of wars, famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places ── all intensifying as we move closer to His glorious and powerful return!

Simon Magus, the magician from Samaria, likely began gathering his own followers sometime in the mid-first century AD, roughly around 50 AD, just after he clashed with the Apostle Peter ── we hold that he was the founder of Roman Catholicism and their first pope.

The first major conflict after Jesus’ ascension was the Jewish‑Roman War, kicking off around 66 AD and ending with Jerusalem’s temple destruction in 70 AD.

One of the earliest severe famines after Jesus’ ascension was the worldwide famine foretold by Agabus in Acts 11:28, which struck during Emperor Claudius’s reign around 45 AD, affecting Judea and much of the Roman world.

One of the most catastrophic pestilences after Jesus’ ascension was the Black Death, which swept Europe, North Africa and the Near East from 1346 to 1353, killing up to 50 million people—about half the continent’s population.

Right from our Lord Jesus’ ascension, those signs He warned about began to be manifested! A major series of earthquakes around 62 AD in the Pompeii region is just one example of how these ‘birth pangs’ were already beginning in the apostolic era.

The 1556 Shaanxi earthquake in China, on January 23, 1556, was the deadliest recorded quake, killing about 830,000 people.

We’ve experienced all of these signs since our Lord Jesus’ resurrection and ascension, growing more and more intense and continuing to the glorious and powerful coming of our Savior, accelerating their intensity. “’ For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. …’” – Matthew 24:7. World wars.

World War I ── the Great War ── officially began on 28th July 1914 until 11th November 1918, resulting in an estimated 15 to 22 million deaths, including those in war crimes and genocides.

World War II ── the Second World War ── which officially began 1st September 1939 until 2nd September 1945, the deadliest conflict in history, causing the deaths of 60 to 75 million people, a majority of whom were civilians. Millions died as a result of massacres, starvation, disease, and genocide, including the Holocaust.

Well, here we are. We know from God’s living word in prophecy that there is coming another world war ── a World War III. We have yet to come to the final world war that is foretold and prophesied to take place just before the glorious and powerful return of our Savior, Jesus Christ, called the battle of “Armageddon” ── the terrible Great Day of God Almighty, as His word tells us (cf. Revelation 16:14-16). We haven’t come to that yet. Is it five years away, ten, fifteen? Could Mankind’s 6,000 Years End in 2030?

Well, how is this third world war coming? And from whom will it begin? This second horse, fiery red, with its rider that was granted to take peace from the earth, ‘and that people should kill one another; given to him a great sword’ is indeed a symbol for world wars. Then, as we see, our Lord Jesus spoke of famines and pestilences. The third horse, black, with its rider – a food merchant- symbolizing famine and carrying a pair of scales. Then there are pestilences, diseases, and epidemics: the pale horse and its rider, whose name is Death and Hades. They are the Four Horsemen.

And as I’ve been saying, these have been occurring throughout the world ever since our Lord Jesus Christ was resurrected and ascended back to the upper heavenly realms.

So, speaking of famine and drought, the Book of Joel is a prophetic work likely composed between the 9th century BC and the early Ptolemaic period, or even in the mid-ninth century during Israel’s pre-exile. Chapter 1 opens describing a catastrophic locust swarm and a severe drought and devastating agriculture and temple offerings, and then it shifts in Chapter 2 to an apocalyptic image of the LORD God’s army and a call for national repentance. The Prophet Joel was likely writing this around ── and I have noted at the top of my Bible, 835 – 800 BC ── during King Joash’s minority after Athaliah’s reign. A devastating locust swarm struck the southern kingdom of Judah, wiping out crops, vines, and olive oil. This disaster cut off grain and drink offerings at the temple, leaving the people in famine and prompting the Prophet Joel to urgently call for national repentance.

This dire message is seen as a dual prophecy──it was initially addressed to the 9th-century locust disaster, but it is also speaking and pointing to a future Day of the LORD judgment against Judah──modern-day Israel──which our Lord Jesus Christ has called ‘great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.’

Sadly, so many of these worldly churches are waiting for ‘a great tribulation’ to occur to America, the United States. Yet, these prophecies are focused on Judah, which is modern-day Israel. That’s where biblical prophecy points: Judah as the epicenter and a “United Europe” playing its prophetic end-time role, not America being the main stage like so many churches assume.

As we look at today’s geopolitical landscape, we see devastation on the horizon in the Middle East. We see Judah surrounded by her “enemies” (Luke 21:20). We see the evil and vile Islamic Regime of Iran──who could… well… the idea of acquiring a tactical nuke from North Korea may be gaining quiet traction behind closed doors. 1 Again, the living words of our Savior, Jesus Christ ──

“’ Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place’ (whoever reads, let him understand), …’” – we certainly need to understand what occurred when King Antiochus IV Epiphanes desecrated the Jerusalem temple, stole its treasures, and set up an altar to Zeus, sparking the first Maccabean Revolt. (I speak with AI regarding this in the “Conversation With AI Regarding Various Biblical Subjects (Part II).”) 16) ‘then let those WHO ARE IN JUDEA flee to the mountains. … 21) For then there will be great tribulation, such as HAS NOT BEEN SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THE WORLD until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22) And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake THOSE DAYS WILL BE SHORTENED.’” – Matthew 24:15-16, 21-22.

Now indeed one of the major factors of the downfall of the United States of America has to do with our burdensome debt ── which is soon to reach $50 TRILLION! And, of course, that’s only part of it; there’s much more than that ── like mass immigration. This massive debt burden is what historically brings down empires. When you’re spending over a trillion just on interest payments alone and heading toward fifty trillion, that’s what weakens a nation from within. And, of course, a mass influx of legal and illegal immigrants into a nation doesn’t help ── when large numbers of people bring different cultures and values and systems, it can strain the social fabric that holds a nation together.

In fact, Europe is experiencing exactly what I’m speaking of, with countries like Spain, Italy, and Germany all struggling with the pressures from large-scale migration flows that are straining their systems and creating political tensions across the continent. Without getting deep in depth here, we can see from God’s living word that He never originally designed countries and nations to be a “melting pot” (cf. Deuteronomy 32:8). We can look to the Tower of Babel as an example, where the LORD God scattered the people, establishing boundaries. It doesn’t suggest that He intended peoples and cultures to be one homogenous mix. When differing cultures and beliefs move into one homogenous mix, you create internal tensions that strain the nation’s foundation rather than strengthen it. And in this present evil age, this is where you get cultural and religious conflicts, because well-established societies have their own foundations and belief systems that they’ve built their communities around. The LORD God does things for a reason. He doesn’t do it because He wants us to suffer or because He doesn’t want us to visit other lands. No, He does it for our protection ── it’s a divine protection, not punishment. He knows that when different belief systems and cultures clash, it creates conflict and suffering, so establishing boundaries is actually an act of love to preserve peace.

And when a nation takes in too many immigrants who don’t have anything to offer, whether it's education, job skills, or a career, relying instead on a state or government, it creates a drain on resources that were meant for citizens who’ve been contributing to the system, while also undermining the self-sufficiency that built strong communities in the first place. When you flood a nation with people who can’t contribute, or won’t contribute, economically, it strains the whole system and weakens the foundation that took generations to build.

National Repentance Is Needed

Chapters 4 & 5 of the Book of Ezekiel were likely written around ── again, I have written at the top of the page 593 – 565 BC ── when Jerusalem was under Babylonian pressure. We see a miniature model in chapter 4 being used to show the city’s upcoming siege, and chapter 5 depicts the harsh judgment, the cutting off of hair and clothing, to illustrate how the people’s sin will lead to their destruction and exile. This is a dual prophecy ── Jerusalem’s great damage (cf. Isaiah 22:6-9) and Judah’s coming judgment. The broader warning is for both kingdoms, though it focuses on Judah’s exile.

Ecclesiastes 1:9 tells us, “That which has been is what will be,” which highlights the LORD God’s view of history’s cycles and the enduring pattern of rise and fall. History’s ups and downs mirror humanity’s ongoing struggle to follow the LORD God’s Way. The pattern will repeat itself until humanity collectively turns back to the Eternal One and obeys His commandments. Sadly, so many people make the mistake that God’s living words here in the Book of Ezekiel are only ancient prophecies for the kingdom of Judah and therefore are not necessary to learn.

The LORD God’s WARNING ── through the Prophet Ezekiel ── wasn’t just past events; they illustrate timeless principles about judgment and obedience that still apply today. The Prophet Ezekiel’s dual warning mirrors today’s Middle East tensions, where nations grapple with cycles of conflict and judgment.

Our lands are filled with churches, and they make mention of God in their prayers, but as our Lord Jesus Christ tells us, “’ Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying: 8) ‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me.’” – Matthew 15:7-8. There is a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof, as the Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy (2 Timothy 3:5). O’ there is a great deal of ceremony ── a great deal of what Brother Guy calls religiosity, but I want to tell you, people are not putting their whole heart into it.

And going back to the Book of Joel, the LORD God tells us what we need to do, and if the nations would do it ── the United States of America, the United Kingdom and her Commonwealth Nations, and Judah (modern-day Israel) ── this downfall and destruction would not occur ──

“’ Blow the trumpet in Zion, Consecrate a fast, Call a sacred assembly; … Now, therefore,’ says the LORD, ‘Turn to Me with all your heart, With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.’ 13) So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the LORD your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm.” – Joel 2:15, 12-13.

Now, the very word Zion is derived from an uncertain Hebrew root ──likely ṣiyyôn meaning “fortress” or צִיּהָ “dry place.” It first denoted the Jebusite stronghold on Jerusalem’s southeast hill that King David captured. Later it became a poetic name for Jerusalem and, by extension, all the tribes of Israel. Prophetic language can let Zion represent the whole of the children of Israel, the kingdom of Israel, even the twelve tribes united. Revelation chapter 7’s “multitude from every tribe” shows us a similar duality here. The word Zion, in its primary sense, remains geographical and historical, not just a blanket term for the spiritual Church of God.

“’ Gather the people, Sanctify the congregation, Assemble the elders, Gather the children and nursing babies; … 17) Let the priests, who minister to the LORD, Weep between the porch and the altar; Let them say, ‘Spare Your people, O LORD, And do not give Your heritage to reproach, That the nations should rule over them. …’” – Joel 2:16, 17.

And if we REPENT UNTO THE LORD GOD as a nation, the LORD God tells us that He will repent and prevent this destruction from coming.

Now, 2nd Chronicles chapter 20 was written by the post-exilic Chronicler in the late 5th century BC, which preserves for us a ninth-century BC event during King Jehoshaphat’s reign (circ. 873-848 BC). He had just reformed Judah’s worship and justice when a coalition of Moabites, Ammonites and Edomites marched from the Dead Sea corridor to attack Jerusalem. The chapter records for us Judah’s nationwide prayer to the LORD and the miraculous defeat that followed, emphasizing the LORD God’s sovereignty over all nations. Other tales with the LORD God’s divine intervention include David’s win over Goliath, the angel of the Lord striking down the Assyrian forces in 2nd Kings 19, the Red Sea crossing in Exodus 14, and Jehoash’s defeat of Amaziah in 2nd Chronicles chapter 25.

And in more modern times, the Allied victory in World War II. Supreme Allied Commander Dwight D. Eisenhower would later note that a sudden break in the worst weather in 20 years allowed the invasion to proceed with far fewer losses than expected. That breaking of the weather was a true miracle from the Lord!

Our LORD God Almighty fought the battles for His people. He won the wars. There was a time when three allied nations, three allied armies, were coming down against Judah, and they were unprepared, ‘having no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.’ – 2 Chronicles 20:12.

“ …’ Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.’ … 22) Now when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated.” – 2 Chronicles 20:15, 22.

It is coming to be acknowledged that the exiled children of Israel (the Twelve Tribes of Israel), upon their release, either returned to Judah or joined existing diaspora communities, spreading gradually through the Mediterranean and eventually Europe.

Utter destruction is coming. And we need to think about this and wake up! Because one of the greatest falls that has ever happened to a nation is coming to the United States of America. And if we don’t, as a nation, repent and turn to the LORD God, it will. Because we are God’s people and we are injuring ourselves by the things we are doing. I want to tell you, my friends, right here in the United States, we need to awaken from spiritual sleep.

Yes. At this moment in time, under this Administration, the crime rate in the United States has subsided ── The homicide rate in the United States dropped to the lowest it’s been in 75 years. 2 According to statistics, the U.S. divorce rate has not increased in recent years; it remains at historic lows. 2020–2023: The pandemic caused a temporary pause in divorces, but rates have since rebounded slightly, still well below historical highs. 3 However, according to a WifiTalents Report 2026, 90% of homeless and runaway children are from fatherless homes! 4 Overall, juvenile delinquency has decreased in the United States, but certain types of offenses, particularly violent crimes involving firearms, have increased. 5 Chronic diseases are on the rise. Recent global health data show that both chronic and infectious diseases are increasing in prevalence and impact worldwide. Infectious diseases are also increasing in some areas. 6 And one key takeaway from those reports is, “Over 95% of HIV child infections occur via mother-to-child transmission (MTCT) without prevention.” And, according to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), one in five U.S. adults, approximately 59.3 million adults, or 23.1% of the adult population, is living with a mental illness. 7 Mental illness! Now why should that be? Of course we hear all kinds of answers to this question. The other day I went around and around with AI with this very question. I discussed genetics in relation to mental illness. It stated, “that while genetics plays a role [in mental health], environmental factors could be just as important in explaining the rise in mental health issues.” 8

Imperial Socialism Shattered the Roman Empire! 10

If we reach back into our history. The Spanish were the first Europeans to establish permanent settlements in the territory that became the United States. St. Augustine, Florida, in 1565. The first English attempt at colonization was the Roanoke Colony in 1587. The first permanent English settlement was Jamestown, Virginia, founded in 1607. My 6th great-grandfather came to Virginia from Aberdeenshire, Scotland in 1696. Now, this land was taken from the Native Americans. And maybe that was meant to be by the LORD God, but we certainly didn’t “take it” the LORD God’s Way ── The nation’s indigenous people had a population of nearly 10 million before European settlers. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the current total population of Native Americans in the United States is 6.79 million, which is about 2.09% of the entire population. 9 Native Americans faced centuries of persecution and discrimination, losing their land and resources and being forced onto reservations that lacked the soil and natural resources needed to build and sustain their communities. Certainly, the way our forefathers went about it was horribly wrong! Never should we think it was alright; it wasn’t.

Now look at us ── Democratic Socialism and Communism are making a rise in America! We have great division; we have strife even in our own homes, strife between husbands and wives; even politically. Sadly, the United States of America, the United Kingdom and her Commonwealth Nations, along with Judah (modern-day Israel), are going the way of Rome! And far faster than even ancient Rome ever did. And the LORD God is calling upon us to cry out unto Him, “Spare Your people, O LORD, …”!

Christ’s Coming!

There is something else that our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, mentioned in Matthew 24 that needs our attention. And that’s the word, “Then.” Because after verse 8, comes the word “Then” ── “’ Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.’” And we contend that our Lord Jesus is speaking about here His end-time prophets. 🔊 (See also: Revelation 14:6-7). The LORD God’s end-time prophets will be going around the world, ‘standing before the god of the earth,’ kings, presidents, and world leaders, including the final end-time false prophet, ‘having the power from God to shut heaven, so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy [3 ½ years]; and they have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth will all plagues, as often as they desire.’ – see Revelation 8:7-12. And they will be announcing the coming kingdom of God! “’ And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.’” – Matthew 24:14. Then the end of this present evil age will come!

Now, what did His disciples ask Him? “’ And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?’” – Matthew 24:3. Truly, the answer is no different than the answer He gave the scribes and Pharisees of His day (Matthew 12:38) ── Three and a half years. Notice Daniel 9 ──

“Then He shall confirm a covenant with many FOR ONE WEEK [seven years for a day]; But in the middle of the week [Wednesday] He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. …” – Daniel 9:27.

Our Lord Jesus’ ministry lasted about three-and-a-half years! He was to confirm a covenant with many for one week ── there is soon another 3 ½ years coming! See again, Revelation 14 ──

“Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of [the atmosphere], having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth ── to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people ── 7) saying with a loud voice, ‘Fear God and give glory to Him, FOR THE HOUR OF HIS JUDGMENT HAS COME; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.’” – Revelation 14:6-7.

Now, I’m aware that this revelation from the LORD God sounds strange to you ── you’ve probably never heard it! Many will say that these 3 ½ years are merely symbolic ── was our Lord Jesus’ ministry merely symbolic? No.

At the very beginning of His WORK OF GOD, our Lord Jesus Christ taught His twelve disciples, whom God the Father had called unto Him (cf. John 17:24), the very Message given to Him by His Father concerning the soon-coming Kingdom of God. Then, after 3 ½ years, our Lord Jesus finished that initial phase of the Work of God, which Father had given Him to do. In His final prayer to Father, He says, “’ I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do’” – John 17:4. Daniel 9:27, a two-fold prophecy, speaks of a remaining 3 ½ years of an end-time work. □
